No complaints about location, and overall cleanliness of room and common areas was actually better that I expected. Unfortunately, this motel decided to install new room a/c's whose compressors AND fans (not just compressors) cycle off and on based on room temperature. I am a light sleeper and use the fan as "white noise" to mask typical motel sounds. The entire a/c unit cycling off and on every 10-15 minutes throughout the night made it very difficult to sleep. Staff said there is no way to make the a/c fan remain on while the compressor is off, but were very helpful by moving me to a room with an older a/c. Since these new a/c units seem to be the standard at La Quinta, I will not stay here again.

This is a great location for visiting the State Capital city of Tallahassee. We had a reservation for a Saturday, but arrived a day early. John at the front desk booked us in at the roomsaver discount rate, because the computers would not allow him to book both nights at the web site rate.
This hotel is an easy drive to downtown Tallahassee. It is dog friendly. A decent continental breakfast.

I stayed here with my son recently for two nights. The front desk staff at check in were very friendly and helpful. We were assigned a room in the back on the 2nd floor. The hotel is older but appears to be somewhat updated. The room was small but adequate. The beds were horrible. No thickness and very soft and saggy. We both felt we were itching for some reason while we were there, never had any visible bites but we uncomfortable both nights. Breakfast is marginal at best. The first morning they ran out of coffee! By 6:30am.! Most items are prepackaged. Some bread was seperate but the bagels and danish are prepackaged. No waffles like the La Quinta website said. This hotel is ok for budget travellers but we found the Fairfield in North Tallahassee far better for nearly the same price.

My husband and I stayed over the Thanksgiving holiday. We were very pleased with the accommodations. The desk clerk was very friendly and helpful - the room very clean. We would recommend this motel.

This place looked really nice from the outside, so my family of three decided to check in for a night. The lobby looked nice and our room looked good when we first stepped in it. The problem came when it was time to go to bed. After I pulled my sheets back, it looked like they hadn't been washed in years. There was sooo many hairs on them - pubic hair, animal hair, etc. It was soo disgusting. I picked hairs off my bed for an hour before I would sleep on it, and even then didn't use any top sheets or covers. I'll never stay at a La Qunita again.
