I have stay at this La Quinta about 10 times a year. I like it since it is on the East side of San Antonio and I do not have to drive through town traffic to get to the hotel or to leave town. It is close to strip malls by I-35 & 1604 and a straight shot to the airport via I-35/410. The restaurants next door are Whataburger, Dennys, and Bill Buxby’s Burgers. The Buxby’s fried jalapeno strips are great and listen for the airplanes going over. I have never had any problem with the wireless internet connection to my Dell laptop here. Some of the rooms are a short hike through the building. The TV has HBO, TBS, Disc, ESPN, more, and local channels. The rooms and restrooms seem to be clean. The people at the front desk are polite. The rates are very reasonable when compared to the other LQ hotels in SA. There are other LQ hotels closer to downtown or to the Sea World areas

The hotel is nice, its older, about 20 years old.
Check in was a breeze and Tara, the front desk clerk, was an amazing help, very friendly, and willing to help any where she could.
My room was nice, two full beds, the rooms were clean.
The biggest frustration was the "Free wireless internet". I could see the connection but could not connect. Thanks to Tara, and a room change, I was able to get a "wired room".
The breakfast was decent, nothing extravagant, but defiantly forgettable. It is hard to compete with the Denny's next door.
I will point out that the hotel is 4 floors in some areas, and alot of walking is required as they are all exterior entry rooms.

A friendly hotel that is unpretentious and good value for money. Everything is in good condition and well maintained. Public rooms and bedrooms are well decorated and lit.
Breakfast is continental and provides a good range of choices.
Rooms are effectively air conditioned and the noise from outside is not very noticeable. A little noise from neighbouring rooms.
The Internet service had a problem when I arrived and the receptionist made great efforts to get their team to resolve it. When they were unable to, there was a straight answer with an apology. The perfect way to deal with it. I was able to use my laptop in the lobby area, anyway, and the issue was resolved the next day.
Good value for money and scrupulously clean. An object lesson on how value hotels can be run.

Our family of 4 had just checked out of a very dirty hotel and were pleased to check-in here. The staff was helpful and took us to look at the rooms before we paid. The only large room available was smoking so I did have to de-tox the room w/Febreze & scented candles. I have no complaints other than our "free wireless internet" never was available and, total time, I spent 2 hours with support staff trying to link up to their network and it never happened. The pool was great while we were alone but, as been our typical experience here in SA at hotels at/under $100/night, some other guests ruined the pool experience with their liberal profanity usage. I had to take my kids inside. Had their been management keeping an occasional eye on the pool area perhaps they could have told the other guests to tone it down. Our cat was able to stay at no additional cost and the other pets staying were well-mannered & quiet. Their continental breakfast was a big hit for us on-the-go every morning but for those wishing to have heartier choices there is a Denny's next-door & shopping close-by at the Forum if you forgot something or just need a coffee & a book or magazine
Pleasant Experience

We stayed at this hotel on our cross country journey to my husband's next army duty station. The hotel was not difficult to find and was pleasantly nice. We had a large room and service was excellent. The downfall to this hotel is that many people were very noisy the night we stayed and we were right below the stairs and people ran up and down all night long. For the price our stay was pleasant.
