It is located off 1st street, so it is very loud, and always have traffic, but it is near everybit of action. ..."

Poor hotel choice!

First, we were given a smoking room when we had a reservation for non-smoking, as they said NO other rooms were available. Yes, it reeked of smoke! Second, our toilet did not work. Supposedly the girl at the desk was the ONLY one working in the office for the entire booked hotel. She had no authority to fix the toilet, but offered for us to come get a plunger and fix it ourselves. At this point we ask to speak to the manager. Third, we were told there was no manager on duty for the entire weekend in a booked hotel, and that "he did not want to be bothered." The desk clerk was rude and uncaring. So we were forced to stay in a room that reeked of smoke and excrement all night.

I have stayed at this hotel several years ago, and it is still a pretty good value. The hotel is beginning to look a little tired, but I heard noises in the area that indicate that it is getting some redecoration at this time. The hotel was comfortable enough. We stayed in a handicap room and it was fine. There is a micro/fridge in the room, although we did not use it. The extended breakfast was not as good as previously, they had removed the waffle machine and the choices were not as many as I remembered from before. All in all, however, A better than adequate place to stay.
