We stayed here for 2 nights to sample the sights of El Paso. The hotel is inexpensive ($75 for 2) and located right by I10 on Gateway Blvd a few minutes from the airport. Rooms are quiet (stayed away from freeway). Swimming pool is heated so even in cold desert winter, you can swim. Their continental breakfast is good and filling.
Would recommend for families looking for convenient and inexpensive place to stay.

Breakfast above average. Rooms typical, clean. Good front desk experience. Walking to room (outside entrances) a little dark for my female co-worker's preference. Pick the lobby side rooms if you're concerned - better lighting.

Aging La Quinta

This hotel, convenient to Bassett Shopping Center, I-10 and the airport is an aging property, not what I expected from my previous La Quinta stays. However, it was very clean and well maintained inside and out, nothing like a Motel 6 or anything like that. It is a motel type style - so no interior corridors or hallways, and you have to cart your bags upstairs, so consider that (fortunately only two story) when you book. You can park close to your room. They also do not offer room service -- but there is a Denney's right next door. The A/C was broken in the tiny work out room, but equipment well maintained. The breakfast each day was muffins, bagels and danish -- all pre-packaged so don't expect much in that regard.
They offer shuttle service to and from the airport with friendly drivers, and the staff was all helpful and friendly, down to the maids who provided excellent suggestions and directions. It was also very quiet during my three day stay. Since I am security conscience, I was glad to note that when I locked myself out, they insisted on identification before creating a new key card.

Stayed here one night while on a road trip. The hotel is right off the interstate and next to a Dennys. Check-in was fast and easy. You can park in front of your room, and parking wasnt a problem. The rooms were small, motel style, but clean. They were somewhat older and occasionally you could hear the upstairs neighbor (I was on the first floor), but for the money I paid, no complaints.
Free Internet worked fine and grassy area to walk the dog.

This hotel is nice to stay at if you want economy and a clean room. The location is a little out of the center of town, but if you are just in town for a day or so, the taxi ride to anywhere in the area is cheap.
