Not a good stay; parking lot was full of trash, patrons were grilling on the second floor. Numerous BBQ grills graced the corridors of the 2d floor. Clearly a fire hazzard! Compained to the front desk and was told management was not available. My husband threatened to call the fire department. Safety is clearly an issue here!

Night desk staff were not the brightest group, but morning staff was fast and efficient. Rooms were not the cleanest, but the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was so-so.

I'm here with coworkers on a business trip. Chose the hotel based on price. Would have been much better to pay more elsewhere. My room is much better than theirs (in other words, it smells of disinfectant rather than staleness or really rank cigarette smoke when supposedly a non-smoking room). But there are pubic hairs on the bathroom floor! And I don't mean just one or two -- evidently, the maid didn't think to close the door so she could see what was behind it. Bed has tired linens on it. Ironically, front desk help wear little buttons on their shirts that say "tell us if your experience wasn't a 10" -- but when my friend went to ask to switch her room since it smelled so bad, they said they were sold out and were not very nice in the telling, either.

I am sitting in the room as I type - I have been here less than 30 minutes and it has been a nightmare. Apparently following the Katrina evacuees they didn't bother to clean up. The first room I was in smelled like dirty sweat socks and a smoky bar. Upon requesting a new room I was told they were sold out and a maintenance man could come ozone the room. Overall the desk clerks were very rude. I declined and decided to share a room with a colleague - whose room only smelled of extreme disinfectant. In this room, I am now experiencing extreme headaches and can't wait to leave. Thank goodness this is only for one night.

We stayed here at the last minute. My Girl Scout group made a trip to Blue Bayou and one of the parent's got me a hotel room so that I didn't have to drive back so late at night. The room was in a good location, with a few restaurants located nearby. The bathroom was clean (and I'm a clean bathroom freak!), the bed was comfortable and the sheets clean, there were no strange odors in my room (but my friend's room was a little musty). The outside was lit and it seemed very safe. Now, for the downside: the pillows were pretty bad - very lumpy and it looked like they had definately seen their better days; there were stains on the carpet, and the continental breakfast was pretty bad. The juice tasted sour and the waffles that we made tasted really strange - something with the batter. The lady in charge of the breakfast seemed to think everyone was stupid and didn't know how to fix their own breakfast. She guarded the syrup pretty good too - when I took it from the counter to pour on my daughter's waffle, she grabbed it out of my hand and tried to pour it for me. We ended up ditching the breakfast (it was nasty!) and grabbing some McD's. It could have been cleaner, I will agree, but it wasn't a roach motel either. I would stay here again if I was going to make another overnight to this area of town, but I'd hit one of the other places for breakfast. I know that this hotel allows pets because I heard a dog in a nearby room, so this could account for the stains on the carpet, and also, this hotel was used for a while by Katrina evacuees, so that could be another reason. All in all, though, the hotel I'm sure can afford to have the carpets cleaned.
