Seabreeze in the middle of nowhere

We had a strict criteria for selecting a hotel in Mackay as we were travelling with our 14 month old. It had to have a separate bedroom for day time sleeps and a microwave to heat up food. We didn't want to be too far from Mackay CBD and yet we didn't want to stay on the Hwy.
The entrance hall to our room at the Seabreeze was so dark that we put the cot there for our sons sleeps. Just as well as the bedroom was soo small I don't think the cot would have fit. The room was clean overall, though the previous tenant hadn't cleaned the microwave when there food exploded all over it.
You will need a car if you stay at the Seabreeze. The Seabreeze is at Lamberts Beach and besides houses is the only thing at Lamberts Beach. Just when you feel you have got to the end you keep driving and there is the Seabreeze. Our accommodation included continental breakfast (cereal, toast, juice, coffee & tea) in the bistro.
It is about a 10 minute drive into Mackay and the Marina.

We have stayed here two nights and the rooms were really above average and had all a balcony.
Staff was friendly and the price included a continental breakfast.
The beach is directly in front of the hotel and parks to walk in are just round the corner.
However I would not call it a resort, but more a motel. The garden is very, very small, but therefore is the parking very big.
Nevertheless we can recommend it, if you want to have a good accommodation with a good rest.
