We stayed for 3 nights in a penthouse apartment (501)and were really happy with it. Extremely spacious aprtment with large lounge/dining/terrace/laundry etc. Everything was spotlessly clean and the location is terrific. Being on the top floor the noise wasn't too bad. We would definitely stay again & recommend it to friends.

I stayed two nights at the Salamanca Terrace; the location is great -- it's a bit tricky to find but once you're there, you in walking distance of everything. I stayed in a 1 bed room, self-catered apartment which was rather dark and dreary, and pretty small as well. With the furnishing, it was quite crowded. It was very clean, but seriously in need of a decoration refresh.
The location is great, the reception, bar staff, etc were quite friendly, and it was a very safe feeling area.
If you stay, I'd recommend upgrading to the Lenna facility across the street if you can (run by the same people) and be sure to stop at the restaurant up the street called Say Cheese for breakfast - the union jack pudding that I had there was the best breakfast I had in my three weeks in Oz; alas I've not been able to recreate it at home and they haven't answered my emails for the receipe -- guess I'll have to go back!

Booked into a one bedroom apartment, actually a penthouse! 2 adults.
I dont think so, no penthouse to me! A penthouse would be more roomy and you would expect seperate bath to shower atleast! And maybe bathrobes and some other extras!
The water views were quite good, and of the city and mountains, although you have a huge hotel infront of you blocking your view! to the side!
The curtains in the bedroom were not block out, imagine if you need to sleep with darkness, no go! I didnt sleep well at all.
The apartment was clean, and serviced daily, and restocked if you asked them!
The heating/cooling seemed to make cracking noises in the roof, and when it rained, you could hear it! On tin type roof.
The bedroom was small, and if someone was going to use the sofabed in the lounge area to sleep, they would have to put up with non blockout blinds!
The staff were helpful and all processes were quick and painless.
Would return for Alexanders restaurant attached to Lennas of Hobart, (across the road) great food, wine, service and history of the Lenna and suroundings, circa 1800's were lovely! Although you have to walk a steep climb to get to from Salamanca terraces across the road! No go if you are disabled or unwell etc. May return if problems are adressed.
