Looked great on website. Good price for location & 4 adult accom & carspace. Did not expect 5 star accomm at price, but did not meet basic level of cleanliness. Room dirty, walls, doors covered in dirty marks. Appears quick, very basic clean after each guests stay, no other clean/maintenance. May suit some, but not me.

This is a very centrally located apart-hotel which we thought would be ideal for exploring Sydney on our recent holiday, reasonable priced. However, we did not bargain for the "tired" rooms, dodgy badly marked funiture and the unwelcome visitors, i.e. spiders and cockroaches!!!
We only booked for 2 nights, thank goodness, and overall the facilites suited us, kitchen, although I have to say we stored everything in the fridge!, The washing, drying machines and the linen were spotless, however there were stains on the walls and carpets and cleanliness is clearly not top priority for this "in need of TLC and refurbish" establishment.
On the plus side it did take us just five minutes to walk to the heart of Darling Harbour, 3 minutes from the QVB and we were right in the middle of the CBD, which was buzzing, and being on the 19th floor we were not affected by noise, the manager was a very friendly and welcoming guy, although the receptionists were pretty sour faced.

Good location in Liverpool Street, close to monorail station - shame about the state of the apartments. We were in a two bedroom apartment at a very reasonable rate for the centre of the city. The apartment was spacious, but, although it had been cleaned, dull and grubby-looking. The carpets were heavily stained although obviously vacuumed, the net curtains were black with dirt (can't tell about the heavy curtains as they were dark green anyway), the bathrooms a bit mouldy in places, several lights did not work, one of the wardrobes smelled musty and could not be used and had to be kept closed, the washing machine missing was missing a couple of knobs (therefore it was not possible to use it) and the air conditioning/heating did not work on the winter setting and constantly blew cold air. We had to turn it off altogether as the apartment was very chilly - it was very cool in Sydney anyway. This is the first accommodation where we have actually had to use the extra blankets.
No advance warning was given that the pool area was closed for maintenance. Also, we had to remove our car from the hotel car park for most of one day whilst the car park was pressure-cleaned. One reason we chose this hotel was for the parking as we did not intend to drive around Sydney for the two days we were there and we ended up having to use public parking which cost us the best part of AUD50 for a few hours and interrupted our plans for our very short visit to the city. We only found out about the pool closing and the car park problem by way of signs in the lift. The staff gave us no indication of this when we checked in considering they must have known about the arrangements for the pool and car park.
Liverpool Street and the surrounding area is also very grubby although on the edge of Chinatown which is much vaunted as a tourist attraction.
The hotel website looks impressive, but, this was one of the most disappointing bookings we have ever made anywhere in the world. As we were only there for two days we did not wish to take up any more of our time advising reception of our concerns and these problems should be obvious to the management anyway. Room 104 in case the hotel is interested.

Dirty Waldorf Apartment Hotel at Liverpool Street, Sydney

My advise is, look for other great deal before you even consider to stay in this apartment hotel. I don't look for good view, good bed or anything. Just clean place. Paid quite high price for what so called "hotel", AUD 155 per night. Anyway, the apartment was dirty. Here are what I am really disappoint at.
1. Baby COCKROACH everywhere! worst hotel! in bathroom and even in the kitchen. I wouldn't even dare to step my foot without slipper anywhere in that apartment. I have pictures of them if you are interested.
2. Carpet is not vacuum.
3. Sofa bed sheet has shoe print
Paid 3 night through online. Told receptionist about the situation and they just give us "Mortien"! Staff is not friendly and what funny is, they told us to grab taxi when we ask how to go to "Star City" which is a place in walking distance. Who doesn't know how to get taxi?

Tired and Grubby Waldorf Apartments, Sydney

The Waldorf Apartments in Sydney on Liverpool have a great location, close to Darling Harbour. However, the apartments are tired and grubby. The Carpet in the apartment we are staying in is covered in black grubby marks and is filthy. When we asked about this at reception, we were told that, "they are all pretty much like that.
On the plus side, the apartments are clean, and the aircon is efficient and quiet. Also the bedrooms are reasonably quiet.
