I stayed here for 5 nights for a conference at the end of July, and found it to be spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Parking was free, but internet was not. Boo. However, at $5 per day (from midnight to midnight), it was much more reasonably priced than at the Grand Chancellor nearby.
I stayed in a one bedroom apartment - kitchen facilities were more than adequate and the washer/dryer came in handy. The rooms are comfortable, if somewhat institutional, and the rooms on the upper floors in the front have water glimpses.:)
I think you can get some pretty good internet deals on this property. I probably paid more than I needed to. Live and learn...

After staying in a few hotels in Hobart this is the best.
Easy walking distance to everything on the waterfront.
Spa rooms are spectacular with king size bed and huge spa in same room.
Fully self contained suites with all cooking facilities and 8 movie channels. ( You really dont have to leave the room)
Cannot say enough about this hotel and very reasonably priced.
Will stay here again even though we live in Southern Tasmania.
Worth a 5 star plus.

I stayed in a studio apartment, it had kitchenette facilities, ideal if you don,t want to eat out for every meal, and usual Hotel room amenities i,e, flat screen T.V., a VERY comfortable bed and bathroom with enclosed shower recess, washing machine and dryer. The parking is a slight problem as there doesn,t seem to be enough for the size of the Hotel, but the staff were extremely helpful and found me a spot - they had offerred to move their own cars if necessary.
The property is central so easy to walk everywhere, several restaurants in the vicinity, and all amenities were clean. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
the fact that I only paid $130 per night was a bonus, I had booked using wotif.

I stayed here through a military reservation. The hotel was awesome. It has an excellent restaurant in the lobby and the rooms are little apartments. I had a washer/dryer, living room, shower room, kitchenette, and a total of 4 rooms. The bar was fully stocked and had chocolate from the Cadbury factory nearby. The room was always kept clean and was in a beautiful part of downtown Hobart. This is excellent for business or a vacation.

Second visit and still great location and service.

I returned for my second visit to the Woolstore for a 7 day stay. As experienced on our visit last year, the staff were welcoming and friendly, the room clean and offered plenty of amenities. My husband and myself stayed in a 1 bedroom suite - this was even more spacious than last year's apartment.
The amenities were: full kitchen; separate laundry with washer and dryer; kitchen with china, cutlery and cooking utensils etc.; Large lounge area with plenty of seating, dining area, separate toilet and vanity, bathroom with toilet, shower and spa bath.
The property has a restaurant and a bar and offers free car parking for guests.
The Woolstore is only a short walk to the Hobart docks, Salamance Place and the city.
