We spent 3 nights here...great location just a few blocks from the FREE city centre bus, and close to most of the interesting areas of Auckland. Quest have several properties in Auckland, we stayed at the one at 262 Queen st. Have also stayed at other Quest properties in Sydney, and in Adelaide and Melbourne and would rate all their properties an excellent value. It's an apartment hotel...all rooms with full kitchen, usually laundry in-room and daily maid service. All their properties we have stayed in have been immaculately clean, and all included a small complimentary breakfast 'fixings' tray in the refrigerator for your 1st night. (extra trays available from front desk).

Good Place to Stay in the perfect spot.

Room Facilities (Studio) ---------------------------------- Good selection of TV Channels Washing Machine and Dryer. Cable Internet connection. $15 NZ for 24 hours. Comfortable pillows and mattress. Kitchenette including Refrigerator, Microwave, 2 Cooking Rings, Kettle and Toaster. Air Conditioning. Excellent View. Balcony (Handy for the Smokers) Staff ------ Friendly and helpful – especially restaurant. (Café Quest) Not so Perfect -------------------- Shower cubicle only and minimum dimensions. No In-Room Safe

Stayed here in June 2006. Location was excellent within easy walking distant of CBD and waterfront. Reception was friendly. The studio room was well-equipped with washing-machine, fridge, mcicrowave, etc. However, the bathroom was poorly cleaned and smelled of pee (which in turn, affect the "air-quality" of the bedroom). To make matters worst, there was no skirt on the box spring of the bed and the blood stains on it was clearly visible. Room service never showed up the next day even though we had paid for it and we were told that we had a "Do not Disturb" sign on our door - Not true. Not surprisingly, my wife and I did not sleep well in those two nights that we stayed in the hotel (two nights only because I had prepaid for the room). For those who will be staying in this place, hope you sleep well!
