As soon as we arrived we were greeted by a bellman, asking if he could help with our bags. We decided to take our own bags and give him a tip anyway since there was so many. The hotel was nice and cool in the lobby, and everyone was nice and the check in was quick. We were staying on the 6th floor in a two bedroom apartment, I liked the hotel since they kept a lot of their original things from when the hotel opened and they keep it well maintained. Our apartment was huge and accomidated all five of us well. The furniture was old antique wood. But some pieces needed replaced. The window airconditioners kept the appartment cool, and kept out alot of the outside noise. The bathrooms didn't have any vents and it got kind of hot in there if you left the door closed too long, but this wasn't too much of a problem. There were tons of closets, and dresser space. We had 5 closests. The neighborhood seemed a bit scary, but we drove everywhere ourselves and played it safe. All in all for the price the hotel was very close to the hospital that we were visiting and the staff was nice and helpful on many things. I would stay here again if we attended Christ Hospital since it is only 5 blocks from the hospital, and for the price it was clean and spacious. Also we had a great view!

Stayed overnight for Monday Night Football. The free parking was great, felt lot was secure. The shuttle was GREAT... to and from the game, and the driver was so nice and accomodating. Room was clean and fine for an overnight stay. Some of the front desk staff were nice, others could be a little quicker about customer service. Breakfast buffet was good, but the food was a little cold since it was nearing the end of breakfast. Only true complaint is that housekeeping knocked on our door at 8:30AM!!!!!! We had to yell through the door that we were still sleeping, but the lady apologized to us when she saw us in the hall later. Overall, satisfied with the stay, the hotel was clean, the shuttle service and proximity to downtown was amazing, and I would stay there again for a brief stay.

Stayed May 2008 as it was the chosen hotel by a wedding we were attending. The service was OK, everyone was polite, but the hotel is clearly past its prime. Their were cigarette burn holes in our comforter and the bathroom was very dated and a bit dingy. Of note, the hotel has window air conditioning unit. I'm a light sleeper and on the Saturday night of our stay it rained. I was up for hours awake as a drainpipe poured water on the top of our window unit sounding like a major hailstorm outside. There are many other hotels in the downtown Cincinnati area that I would recommend over Vernon Manor

The staff at this hotel was wonderful! They were very attentive to our needs. We had a sick child with us and they were very accomodating. The rooms/lobby/restaurant were all very clean. The food in the restaurant was a little pricey, but delicious. Will definitely stay there again on future trips to Cincinnati.

I was really excited and expecting a lot more from this hotel. I was there with my daughter to visit a college. The bottom line is that the hotel is clean--mattress was in good order, bathroom clean and well supplied, and carpet vacuumed. Room is large. Bed was comfortable. Problems: TV is small, reception varies, noise in room--sounded like we were in a wind tunnel at all times, large windows (although caulked with some kind of material) leaked cold air & since bed is positioned near one window, it gets really gets cold! Heater is noisy but it does help keep you warm once you are in bed under the blankets. Food was ok overall. Room service gets backed up quickly so order early! We heard lots of noise from other patrons and from staff throughout our 3 d/2n stay. The hotel has a tall fence around it--I'm guessing to protect the vehicles at night. The surrounding area is not the safest place to be, and it is not kept up. The door staff did not acknowledge us or offer to help me or anyone else that I saw. We were ok, but you can't help but notice. We chose this area because it was close to the university, and I wanted to see how things were there. I would not want to stay here again because there are much better choices very close by, either in the city or just outside (1 exit up/down). It's sort of a shame.
