Let me start by saying I did NOT stay at this hotel. I was staying 1.5 blocks away at the Casa Gonzales, a budget hotel/pensione in the $60 range. Great cheap little restuarant acorss the plaza called El Mister. However, my daughter and I did walk by the hotel (a beautiful little outdoor cafe area) and we were very impressed. As a matter of fact, my daughter asked why we weren't staying at the Hotel Bristol, which appeared to be more "together". Although Casa Gonzalez is quaint--nice floral courtyard--the rooms are very inconsistant and some have an incredible amount of black mould on the bathroom ceilings (and I am tolerant of mold in bathrooms, living in Florida and used to the problems of high humidity). For the same price, during our next stay in Mexico City we will stay at the Hotel Bristol.

L'Hotel Bristol è assolutamente una buona scelta per viaggi di lavoro, soggiorni in famiglia o per chiunque voglia spendere 50 dollari a notte. Io e la mia ragazza vi abbiamo trascorso due notti nel febbraio 2007. Il personale ci ha trattato molto bene, il servizio in camera era di buon livello anche se una sera abbiamo dovuto aspettare mezz'ora perché ci portassero la cena e il cameriere ha poi cercato di farci sborsare un dollaro in più, facendo finta di essersi sbagliato. Abbiamo riferito l'accaduto al personale del front desk, che ci ha detto che avrebbe chiesto spiegazioni al cameriere. Credo comunque che si sia trattato di un caso isolato perché altri membri della mia famiglia sono stati in questo hotel e non hanno mai avuto problemi. Per il resto, tutto era fantastico. L'hotel ha un ristorante eccellente, con tantissimi piatti messicani e servizio di ottimo livello. Abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno piacevole, nonostante il piccolo disguido con il servizio in camera.

Das Hotel Bristol ist definitiv eine gute Wahl für Geschäftsleute, Familien oder auch Touristen, die nur 50 Dollar pro Nacht ausgeben wollen. Meine Freundin und ich verbrachten im Februar 2007 zwei Nächte hier. Die Angestellten behandelten uns sehr gut, und der Zimmerservice war in Ordnung, wenn es auch einmal über eine halbe Stunde dauerte, bis das Essen auf unser Zimmer gebracht wurde, und dann versuchte der Kellner auch noch, einen extra Dollar vom Wechselgeld einzubehalten und behauptete anschließend, es sei ein "Versehen" gewesen... Wir teilten den Vorfall den Angestellten am Empfang mit, die uns versicherten, mit dem Kellner zu sprechen. Ich bin mir aber ziemlich sicher, dass dies eine Ausnahme war, denn Verwandte von mir haben auch schon hier übernachtet und nie von solchen Problemen berichtet. Alles andere war super. Es gibt ein ziemlich gutes Restaurant mit vielen mexikanischen Gerichten, und der Service war ausgezeichnet. Abgesehen von dem kleinen Vorfall mit dem Kellner war unser Aufenthalt sehr angenehm.

El Hotel Bristol definitivamente es una buena opción para ejecutivos, familias o alguien con un presupuesto de $50/noche. Mi novia y yo nos quedamos en el Bristol por dos noches en febrero de 2007. Los empleados nos trataron muy bien, el servicio a la habitación era bueno, aunque tomó media hora para traer una cena a la habitación una de las noches y el mesero intentó quedarse con un dólar extra que nos debía, diciendo que era un malentendido, pero informamos a la recepción de lo que había sucedido y ellos nos dijeron que hablarían con el mesero. Estoy casi seguro de que fue un caso aislado porque otros miembros de mi familia se han quedado allí y ninguno ha tenido un problema como ése antes. El resto era fantástico. Ellos tienen un restaurante bastante bueno con numerosos platos mexicanos y el servicio era excelente. Fue una estadía placentera, menos el incidente con el mesero de servicio a la habitación.

The Hotel Bristol is definitely a good option for business executives, families or just anyone with a 50 dollar per night budget. My girlfriend and I stayed at the Bristol two nights on February 2007. The employees treated us very well, room service was fine, although one of the nights, it took them over half an hour to bring the meal up to the room, then the waiter tried to keep one dollar extra of our change claiming a "mistake"... But we reported this to the people at the front desk and they said they would talk to the waiter. I am almost sure that it was an isolated case, though, because other members of my family have stayed there and they never had a problem like that before. Everything else was great. They have a pretty good restaurant with plenty of Mexican dishes, and the service was excellent. It was a pleasant stay, except for that little detail with the room service waiter.
