We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite and it was very very nice. We loved the place. We had our own front porch with rocking chairs. Our king size bed had good linens and so did the 2 twin beds in the other room. We had a shower/bath tub with jets. There was grills outside that we used every night. Loved that we had a full kitchen so we could save a little money by cooking our own meals. Flate screen TV's in both the living area and master bedroom. The childrens' bathroom was also very nice. There was a pool and an awesome playground for the kids. Room service changed out towels everyday. We left early one morning and when we got back I assumed that room service had not come in while we were gone. I called the front office and they informed me that room service should have come in even though I was not there. I went and checked and sure enough, the towels were changed. I told front desk...oops, sorry, guess I should have checked first! Next thing I know I have a knock on the door and it is the manager of the hotel. He came to inspect the towels and the room just to make sure everything was perfect.....which it was. EXCELLENT customer service. Just make sure you stay in one of the suites. We went with 3 families and we all loved our rooms. All of the children from our families played together outside in the evenings and had a blast. They even made friends with the children from 2 of the neighbors!

This hotel did not live up to some of the bad comments I saw. No one was racist, the area did have a gentleman's club and tattoo parlor next door, but it also had a new shopping center and did not look unsafe. There was some construction around but very easy access to a main san antonio interstate 410. Not far from anywhere except maybe sea world. Alamo and downtown 15 min away. Families looked happy and the pool looked nice, but since it closed at 10 and we usually came in after 11, we never made it over there. Staff was nice, room was dated but clean with fridge and microwave, 2 tvs, couch, table, and some chairs. (They are renovating.) Breakfast was standard, internet access in lobby. HOWEVER. The reason I would NOT stay again is the bed/mattress. Oh my gosh, I am young (25) with no back problems or anything and that bed caused me a great deal of pain. It must have had several busted springs or something (it looked fine and clean to the eye). I woke the first morning feeling like I had been beaten up all night long. I couldn't even get moving until located some motrin. I think that the floor or couch might have been more comfortable. I could NOT force myself to sleep on that bed again (we had 2 more nights) so we went to Walmart and bought a thick memory foam top topper. The next morning my back hurt some, but I could move and did not feel like someone had been punching me all night. I seriously am not picky about beds and this is the FIRST bed I have ever encountered (including a sleeping bag on the ground) that I could NOT sleep in. There really was no excuse for that bed.
Oh yeah, and we never saw any bugs. I REALLY don't understand why it is "off the beaten path" it is literally on the access road of I-410, major San Antonio interstate.

I really wanted to write a review of my stay because I think honest opinions help other decide on whether to stay here. I'll start with the positives and believe me there are some good ones. Accessible location, we were able to hop right onto the 410 Loop and go where ever we wanted. Charming staff, every one of them we encountered were wonderfully helpful and pleasant. Playground for my grandson was SOO appreciated and well maintained and having access right outside the room made it his favorite part of the stay. Swimming pools with 2 toddler area's gave plenty of room to play and cleanliness made it a enjoyable spot. The cabana was a treat with evening reception a unexpected bonus. There were outside BBQ grills available for guest use and the inside kitchenette was very usefull and saved us a lot of money eating out. The overall family atmosphere of this place made you feel very comfortable. Concerns about the hotel facilities involve only the rooms. It's a shame too because if they'd just improved these few things there wouldn't be anything at all wrong with this place. But here they are. The stone floor tile in the kitchen area had lost it's grout and were wobbly on the floor, like they weren't even attached. This area is adjacent to the bathroom and there was a urine odor present. I don't know if the subfloor had gotten urine soaked and that's why the tile came loose or what but it needed fixed. The carpet and couches were not very clean either. My grandson (he's 2) ran around barefoot inside and everynight before bed we had to wash the bottoms of his feet because they were filthy. I liked the whitewashed pine walls and ceiling, it gave the place a real cabin feel. The AC unit, while loud, did a good job of keeping us cool. The beds were comfortable. For those expecting full housekeeping service this might not be a good place but they did knock on our door everyday around 10 a.m. and give us a pile of clean towels. I carried the dirty ones to them and also the trash bag so they never entered our room which was okay with us since having strangers make our beds and clean up after us wasn't what we expected anyway. But it's a good idea for those planning to stay here to know so they won't be disappointed. For the value price this kitchenette room gave us a sitting area, kitchen, and 2 queen sized beds while not what I'd classify as luxurious it was nice and I'd definately stay here again. It does not have very many nice restaurants close by but we didn't have any trouble driving where every we wanted to go.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite for 1 night (thank goodness). Bedding was cheap and inadequate. Mattresses hard as a rock , old and stained. Bathroom was tiny, too small for 4 people. Vanity area was combined with "kitchen area" and lit by overhead flouresent . Breakfast area is too small for the size of this hotel. Breakfast food was entirely individually wrapped, except cereal. No fruit, not even bananas! We will never stay here again.
