The truth is it's not a resort. The rooms have a lot to be desired for including new mattresses. My experience was that there were no bugs in the room...but others on here are claiming they saw bugs so I suppose it's whatever room you get. IF you choose to stay here and you don't mind not having a perfect room, make sure to get the ocean view rooms. The only thing I can say about it is that it's amazing! The windows were large and the ocean is gorgeous. I've stayed in it twice now and I'd trade a perfect room for this view (then again...i live in NY so I don't get to see the ocean that much). Definite perk to this place is that the parking is free and there is plenty of it and you have access to three different hotel pools. I would definitely go back..but only if I can get the ocean view room because it absolutely makes up for the place being slightly run down. :-)

We stayed here just after christmas 07. As we had been travelling, we were tired and went straight to bed after coming back from dinner. When we got up next morning we saw bugs on the beds and pillows next to us. It was horrifying. We packed up and went straight away even we had paid for the next day. I would strongly recommend people not to book this place. This is not a resort nor a hotel, certainly not 2 star. The least you would ask for in a hotel is clean bed. We booked this place with hotel.com and contacted them about this but there is nothing they can do.

My friend and I stayed at the hotel for just one night (thank God!!!), but we had a terrible experience! We had bed bugs, cockroaches on the floor and walls, the bathroom was not clean. We tried to get another room, but some of the rooms where being "remodeled", and the rest were booked. They gave us our money back, because I caught 2 bedbugs in my bed (put them in a napkin) and took pictures of the cockroaches. For the price, we were not expecting a Resort, but at least a clean, just-to-rest, take-a-shower hotel. I'm surprised to read other reviews saying that the hotel is just fine, and clean, and all that. We had a bad experience.

I would like to share my experience at the hotel. I can only describe the room my husband and I had and it was terrible. First of all, the location was great...It was right across from the beach (A1A) a short walk would have brought you to restaurants, shops and etc. But after pulling up to the hotel (not resort) I started to have second thoughts. The outside of the hotel look more like a rundown motel. I was told this was a spring break hot spot back in the 60s. The bedding and matress was very old (and the only reason I checked was because of the previous reviews said there were bedbugs), the room smelled of mildew, the refrigerator was rusted and the window screen was ripped. The spare blanket was torn but folded in the closet as if nothing was wrong with it. We had to ask for a iron, since each room did not have them. The night we stayed was windy and we heard the door and windows squealing all night long. And the price was not worth the stay (we could have stayed at the Sheraton Yankee Trader hotel down the street). The website does not give you any pictures of the hotel (for good reason). I would not recommend this hotel to a dog...
