The hotel is very kid-friendly with spacious rooms. The pool is gorgeous. Each time we satyed here we received to free meal tickets for the breakfast buffet, which looks more like a brunch buffet. The staff are very friendly. The internet access is solid throughout the hotel.

Will be checking out in the morning after more than a weeks stay. Couldn't have been more satisfied. The Araiza is located in the Hotel Zone in Hermosillo. There are several fine restaurants in easy walking distance, as well as the more than adequate La Fonda in the hotel's lobby, open until 11 PM. This is also where the included breakfast buffet is served each morning from 6:30 - 11 AM. Fresh orange juice, lots of fresh cut fruit, made to order eggs and omelets, and lots of changing Mexican breakfast items which I really was not familiar with, but nonetheless were hot and plentiful.
There was constant maintenance going on around the hotel, from keeping the marble like floors clean to wiping down the pool furniture each morning, even though it was a little too cool to use. There is a Business Center with 3 work stations and good service. The wireless in the rooms worked very well. There is a free washer and dryer available; just ask for detergent at the front desk, no charge for that either. The only thing the hotel didn't have was a working ice machine. There is room service available from the hotel's restaurant. The front desk staff were very helpfull, not all were bi-lingual though. But the bellman were, and were most accommodating.
The actual rooms were just fine, but the bed was hard, and the pillows were not the greatest. No heavenly bed here, but I slept just fine. Good working TV with some English speaking channels. The faux marble bathrooms were worthy of any 4 star hotel, with thick thirsty towels. There was a free bottle of water, and a standard supply of amenities.
This hotel is priced lower than many competing properties nearby, and with the AAA discount, it was a bargain. There are 4 floors with outside corridors, facing the interior pool courtyard, served by 2 elevators from the lobby.
For the value offered, this place is a keeper, just get a new ice machine.

This was our third visit to the Araiza Inn. Again, a nice experience.
They have friendly and helpful staff. Rooms clean and comfortable. The hotel is four stories with rooms accessed by hallways running around the interior. Too cold to use the pool, but have used in warmer times. Coffee shop/restaurant is convenient to begin the day.

This is a very nice hotel that has reasonably priced rooms. Our per room price included an excellent buffet breakfast . Also, we had dinner at the hotel and received great food at a very reasonable prices. The carne asada/carmello tacos are the best. The pool and grounds are well maintained and the staff is friendly and most are bilingual.

People expect because they are in Mexico that all things will be less expensive. In Hermosillo this is not the case. HMO is a booming, prosperous industrial and business center for Sonora, as well as the state capital. Hotels cost pretty much the same here as an equivalent hotel in a large US city. My rate at the Araiza was $95 US including taxes. The room was well equipped, very clean and comfortable. The high speed wireless Interent worked very well, though the front desk staff knew little about it. For those concerned with security, this is a very secure hotel where one must pass through the front lobby for entry, and has no side doors. The staff was helpful; a few sufficiently bilingual for directions and information. It is located in the "hotel zone" on Blvd. Kino which is not close to the city center, however getting around is easy. There are many restaurants nearby as well as in the hotel. A hot breakfast buffet was included in the rate, but the choices were meager, though they did prepare omelets to one's order. This is probably the "second best" hotel in HMO after the Fiesta Americana. I have stayed in several hotels in HMO.
