We stayed here in July 2007 for 4 nights.
It's location is perfect for Hollywood and it's just a 3 minute walk around the corner. Also excellent as a base if you have a car and want to go off exploring LA.
The staff were great. Welcoming, cheerful and always happy to help.
One reason we chose this hotel was for the free parking. Although this is only a small hotel, the car park was always busy. On one occasion we returned after midnight and found it full. We parked outside the main entrance to the hotel in a red zone. The chap behind reception (who I think was the manager) offered to pay for us to park in the multi-story or leave the car where it was and if we got a ticket, he'd pay for it!
The room was spacious and included the biggest bed I have ever slept in. I found out from a friend who lives in LA that it was called a California King. It was huge and extremely comfortable. It included en suite bathroom with shower, dressing table with big bulbs all around it like something you would find in a filmstar's dressing room.
The overall hotel cleanliness was excellent. Our room was cleaned once a day including fresh towels. Only one thing I did notice was the carpet leading from the stairs on the 1st floor was a little stained. It just needed a quick shampoo. Don't let that put you off though.
Overall this hotel is excellent and I have already recommended it to a work collegue who is staying there this coming August.

We stayed here for 4 nights March 2008 and had a great time. The location is excellent - easy walking to the Chinese Theatre, Kodak Theatre and the subway stop that takes you to Universal Studios. The Reception staff were superb, extremely helpful and the kids absolutely loved it. Free parking is a bonus. We were always able to find parking and only had to leave the keys once at the front desk (which was not a problem for us).
The rooms were clean but a little dated. Need a good update. The bathroom could have also used some work. The kitchen was good to store food for snacks for the kids.
Breakfast was simply muffins and begals from Costco. Not very much but good to get you started and head out.
The location and the convinience of free parking make this hotel a very good place to stay in Hollywood.

We stayed at the Hollywood Celebrity Hotel for 4 nights and enjoyed our stay. We had 2 large connecting rooms with a kitchen. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was very nice. The staff were very helpful. The hotel was very close to the Chinese theatre and the walk of fame. Also it was close to the Hop on Hop off bus service and the Metro. We would stay here again.

Another great find in our US trip.
I liked this place and the rooms were just wonderful. A full kitchen and plenty of space plus comfortable beds with nice crisp sheets. Good price, we were very happy.
This hotel is location, location… and because it is tucked down a side street, it is away from the traffic. There is a building next door that was noisy one night and could be a bit noisy over a weekend I would think, but it didn't bother us at all and certainly didn't spoil our stay.
You walk out of the front door and through the building at the end of the street right onto Hollywood Boulevard. It was hustle and bustle there all the time and we were in the right spot to book tours etc. Will Smith had his premiere of his latest movie and we had a ring side view.
The decor in the hotel is good, the feel of the place is friendly and homely. Breakfast was not fantastic but there is coffee available 24 hrs a day and of course you can make your own if you choose in your kitchen.
We were on the ground floor, there are only two levels but it could be hard taking your cases upstairs if you were older or disabled.
Just a word of warning – they have guest carparking at no charge which was a great bonus. However, it is only a small parking lot and as we were checking out (at 5 am) my partner went to get the car so that we could drive to the airport. 3 other cars were parked in front of ours and the guy at the desk only had two sets of keys! Eventually (after waking someone up) he got the 3rd set but… he didn’t have a drivers licence so my partner had to move the 3 other cars, get ours out, then put them back!! Fortunately we weren’t late and the hotel staff member was so apologetic we eventually all had a laugh about it. Just make sure you allow enough time.

This is our second stay at the Hollywood Celebrity Hotel. Stayed for 3 nights with my husband in June 2008. Once again we weren't disappointed. Our room was on the second floor, with a king sized bed, small sitting area, bathroom with a tub, separate vanity mirror area for getting ready, and large hanging space for your clothes. Breakfast is included free of charge consisting of muffins, croissants, bagels, tea, coffee, juice. They also have coffee available all day. Computer with free internet access available in the foyer. Also a small gym. The hotel is in the best location, directly behind the Hollywood Highland Centre and Hollywood Boulevarde. Hotel staff very accommodating, holding our luggage from checkout at midday until our transfer to LAX at 6pm. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
