Worst Experience Ever & Ripped Off

This was by far the worst hotel experience, worst customer service experience I have ever had. They actually did rip me off. I booked the "Deluxe Exec Suite" which is supposed to come with extra amenities, free water and snacks, and upgraded furnishings. My credit card was pre-charged the price of a Deluxe Exec. When I checked in and went to my room, I noticed that there was no water, no amenities except for 1 single bottle of cheap 'conditioning shampoo' and 1 bar of soap. I called front desk to see where I could find the water, and he said I could purchase it. I let him know I'd booked the Exec Suite which is advertised on the site as having water and other amenities; he said my reservation doesn't show that. After putting me on hold multiple times, and after I told him I'd booked Exec, and been charged for the Exec pricing, he still said, "it's not showing me that in the system." So fine, I walked to the Front Desk, showed him my actual confirmation page that explicitly stated my reservation for Exec Suite, as well as how my CC had been charged already. The front desk guy said, "but it's not showing in our system," called over his manager, Carlos (?) who repeatedly said "it's not showing in our system. the reservation never came through to us as Exec." He also said they were out of the exec suites. When I asked what was the difference bet. Exec and regular, all he would say was that it had more amenities and "just more." He would not clarify what he meant by more. He didn't offer any alternate solution until I probed him on what the heck am I supposed to do since they charged me for it. He insisted they didn't charge me for it until I check out, even though the conf. said they did! After a lengthy conversation, I finally got them to have housekeeping send over the amenities to my crappy room. They never once apologized, never once acknowledged that a mistake had been made even though I showed them proof of my reservation confirmation. They were not helpful at all, and acted like nothing was wrong on their end. And later I checked my friend's room, which WAS the Exec suite, and the major difference other than amenities was the furniture wasn't as old and crappy.
I absolutely hate being ripped off, but even more, I hate businesses that don't value their customers and treat guests like crap. Don't stay here unless you enjoy being ripped off, then treated as though you were the one at fault, all for staying at a really old run-down motel that is anything but "resort quality."

Clean, comfortable with a beautiful view. The pool area was very clean. Staff was very helpful and I paid exactly what I was told ahead of time. No surprises.

Found this place for an amazing price on AAA--I was hoping that the pictures and descriptions that I could find on it were true. We stayed for two nights and were very satisfied. Full kitchen including dishwasher, food disposal, even a blender. Refrigerator has an icemaker but this was empty when we arrived and no ice machine available--front desk was more than happy to give us some until our freezer made some. Situated on Rocky Point, built to give views of the water from each private deck, entire end wall is nothing but a large window to enhance the view. Our view included part of the parking lot but we could still appreciate the water, didn't have the pool on our side to hear the pool noise. I don't think we would have been able to hear them anyway, as the airport is nearby and we never heard anything when we were in the room. Pool area is very nice, entire facility clean. There is no restaurant on the premises, but there are several very close by. The registration desk is on the 2nd floor, which is a bit confusing at first because this is not clearly marked. Parking is under the building itself so it is covered. There was only one elevator and it was very slow. The bed was firm yet adequate, and although the bedroom is situated by the main hallway, we still slept soundly. I would definitely recommend this to the family or couple who, like us, are only staying at the hotel for someplace to sleep and keep our things secured while we are out exploring.

I cannot honestly say if I would recommend this hotel to other or not. We stayed there on Sunday night because we were going to catch an early AM flight. The night before we stayed at the MIke Ditka property in Kissemee, and boy did this place suffer in comparison. Mike Ditka's place was clean, clean, clean, and this place looks old, shabby and downright dirty. Here is the breakdown
1.Front desk: no eye contact, no friendly chatting, but they did let me check in a few hours early
2.Room: Shabby-badly in need of new carpets, paint, and a down and dirty cleaning. I actually felt a little crrpy in the room.
3.View: great-nice little balcony, but you are sitting on your neighbor, so don't get on you cell and blab away, like my neighbor did.
4. Kitchen:stocked with pots, pans, plates, but some of the stuff was dirty-
5. Pool: small, heated, clean and fun to sit around and feel the breeze off the water.
6:Beach:soft sand but no swimming, just a place to sit and read.
The price was right for this place for one night, but it is not a palace by any means.

So, I booked this great trip on Orbitz and am actually here at the hotel now. On the outside, everything looks great. Next to the bay and fancy apartments. As soon as I stepped into the room, all I could smell was Body Odor. The room smelled this way all through out. I asked the front desk if I could move, and the next room I walked in smelled like diarrhea. I chose the room that smelled like BO. The location is great b/c it's near the airport and on the bay. However, I would spend the extra money next time to stay on the beach and for a hotel that isn't so old. The other reason why it might smell so bad, is b/c there are tons of military men staying here. They are all hanging out outside...who knows. I give this hotel a one. I wish I was somewhere else.
