This is an excellent hotel and is highly recommended.
The staff were very helpful, particulalry one staff member who was there during the night shift. The hotel is very clean and of a very high standard. The decor is modern, new and maintained very well. The hotel also has a lovely fragrence in the lobby and rooms.
The bathrooms are particularly sleek as are the alrge door numbers, meaning you cant miss your door number, when coming home late at night! The beds are very comforatble too.
There could eb some additional english channels other than news and a little more selction in the mini bar, but these are very small factors and did not destry our stay at the hotel.
The location is excellent with ony a 5-10 minute walk to La Ramblas and Playa de Catalunya.
This is a great hotel, at a decent price. Enjoy!

We had a friendly greeting as soon as we arrived. The staff were all very professional. The room decor was the same as the lobby, modern and clean. It was as if we were staying in a boutique hotel. The bathroom was very big and modern too. Our room was not facing the main street so we were not affected by any outside noise. The hotel was only a 5-10min walk from Las Ramblas and Placa Catalunya. We walked to almost all sites (except for Park Guell and Sagrada Famillia).

myself and my husband plus 6 friends stayed at the advance hotel from the 31st jan to 3rd feb 2008 to celebrate my husbands and one of our friends 50th birthday's. It is a great hotel rooms very clean and modern , bathrooms excellent There was no bar as such in the hotel although you could have a drink served by the receptionist in the lounge/ lobby area where there are large sofas,.
The hotel is about 10mins walk to the rambla but there are plenty of bar's ,shops and restaurants on the way, We had a room at the back of the hotel over looking patios from other houses and hotels , which in the summer i think could be noisy, but then in the middle of a large city you would expect that anywhere, Staff were always very friendly and helpful. No tea making facilities so dont forget your kettle.

Seven of us had a lovely stay here recently. We booked through Hotels.com and got 3 nights for ?80 each- a real bargain.
The hotel is clean and modern with a beautiful lobby which has a discreet internet point as well as english papers to read. The rooms are smallish but the beds very comfy. Nice shower rooms. It is a low key place though- the staff will not overwhelm you but they are adequately helpful. 5 minutes takes to to Cataluyna sq, El Triangle and on to La Rambla. Room108 and the two rooms beside have fabulous terraces out back with outdoor furniture- lovely for the warmer evenings. I would stay here again if I got the same bargain price Don' t have the Hotel breakfast at 14 euro- turn right and cross the main road and right again down a little side street and you'll find a lovely bakery that serves beautiful coffee and croissant etc.

We stayed here to finish our honeymoon after a week cycling in Catalonia. The rooms were clean, modern and quiet (we were not on the main road). The staff on reception were friendly and helpful. Located approximately 15 minute walk from the Ramblas or 10 minutes to the nearest underground station. We don't mind walking so this location was good for us. We didn't try the breakfast as it seemed pricey and there are plenty of cafes to try in Barcelona.
Considering what we paid for the room, it would have been nice to have a bit more space (it felt cramped), and have a bath as well as a shower. All in all, I don't think we would stay here again, purely based on price.
