The Adina Apartment Hotel is 5* but we stayed in a 3* apartment. The living space was enormous but the bedroom was quite small. This was due to the wardrobe taking up precious space and one side of the bed having less than a foot of space between it and the wardrobe. The "double" bed was two singles pushed together with narrow single duvets - not the most romantic. The rest of the space was large and functional with two toilets, a seperate bathroom, two dining spaces, work desk, tv area and respectable furniture. The beige carpet could use a good cleaning though as there were quite a few stains. The reception staff were very helpful and pleasant. It's a good walk to the central areas, I had read 15 min to the city centre but it took me a good 30 - 40 to hit Vaci Utca (shopping street) and at least 15 min to the Parliament (I'm only 5ft 2" though!). Make sure to ring taxis and not take one on the street, they are ripoffs. It cost us 1000 HUF from the hotel to a restaurant and on the way back the driver wanted 4000! We walked instead.

I've just returned from Budapest and would highly recommend this hotel for its facilities and it's staff. It's only a couple of hunded metres from a Metro station (underground,) so all parts of the city can be accessed easy through this connection

We have just returned from a 3 day break in Budapest staying at the Adina. Even though the hotel is slightly off the beaten track, I'd definitely recommend it as the quality of the rooms, the service and the spa facilities definitely make up for having to walk around 15mins into the centre or having to take a taxi (which is around ?5 if you want to go to the Buda castle area).
The staff is extremely friendly and helpful trying to accommodate you as much as possible. If you are looking for a calm quiet oasis to chill out after a hectic day sightseeing - this is the place!

we have just returned from a 2 night break at the hotel and wished we had booked for longer. the apartment lived up to our expectations and more, the staff were friendly and helpful , nothing too much trouble bringing bathrobes when requested ordering taxis recommending restaurants and advise to make the most of our too short stay.
The rooms were a little warm but nothing opening a window didn't solve and we found the breakfast better than alot of continental breakfasts we have had on our various travels but we did book this as part of the package so was not aware of the cost seperately.
Despite other reviews saying about the distance to town we actually liked the walk down by the river taking in sight s we would have missed had we been central for example the shoe sculpture,( remembering jews killed in the war )and even when we walked through the streets of the city we saw alot more of the architecture and general life of budapest and not just the normal tourist trail. we came across lovely local cafes and restaurants and because we like to walk it was in fact a bonus , we never once felt unsafe even late at night.
