Location is excellent, around the corner of metro Schumann (only 15 minutes away from trainstation Midi, and only 5 minutes away from the city centre). Lobby and public places look good, interesting architecture and arts. Breakfast superb, spacious breakfast room, well filled buffet, courteous and quick service. Big room, well equipped bath room. Internet wireless and with cable (pricy: 19E95 for one day, and no service in case it breaks down, since operated by an external provider). Good choice of TV channels. Overall looks of room and bathroom: clean, well renovated, however one has to like the dark colours. All in all, pleasant stay and I would certainly return.

My partner and I stayed here last month for a midweek relaxing break. We booked through Lastminute and decided to pay a little bit more to get a better hotel.
The best thing about this hotel is that even though it isn't central, it's literally right next to the Metro (outside, turn right and 300 yards). Getting round Brussels is SO easy using the Metro. It's cheap, quite clean but also feels very safe which I think is important.
This is a typical business hotel with an impressive entrance and artwork on the walls. At first, it was a little intimidating as it was full of business people in suits! However, staff made us feel very welcome and were very accommodating. We were 2 hours early for check in and they found us a room that was ready so we could check straight in. We didn't use the restaurant as it was expensive, instead we went into the main Town where there are lots of outside/inside eating restaurants at a set price of 12 Euro each, bargain! Also, if you get stuck for things to do, there is a nice Irish pub dead opposite the hotel selling English beers and showing football etc..!
Don't bother with the "Spa" in the hotel, it's not worth it! 9 euros each for a dirty shower/changing area, sauna, steam room which is out of order, freezing cold tiny plunge pool and a boiling hot jacuzzi! Surrounded by old magazines and loungers with dirty cushions. This was the only let down as I specifically wanted a hotel with a proper spa and this certainly wasn't.
When you check-out there is luggage holding room too, so you can sight-see before you leave knowing your luggage is safe.
The rooms are a good size with very comfy beds, very clean and modern. It had a mini bar which was pricy and as the hotel is in the centre of the business district, I'd advise taking water, snacks etc into your room as there are no shops locally.
In the bathroom is bath/shower, toiletries, lots of towels, hairdryer and a big lit mirror so very handy. The room had a TV with limited English channels but it had a couple. There is a kettle with ample tea and coffee which is always a bonus!
Brussels is cool but I'd advise getting some sort of pocket guide as most of the sights are hidden or hard to find. If you are a couple looking for a quiet break (I wouldn't recommend children at this hotel) and want a nice, clean above average hotel, this is it!

...okay so this is a pretty standard unobtrusive business hotel, borderline stylish even with its art, low key furnishing and ambient lighting, and they created immediate goodwill at reception by giving vouchers for both a free drink and entry to the spa.
However, they exhausted some of this goodwill by not providing a kettle after three calls - the one that should've been in the room was missing. This is just a small detail, but something you shouldn't have to think about at a business hotel like this, especially not for ?239 plus ?25 if you want breakfast. I suppose this is par for the course in Brussels during the week when there is such a huge demand for room, and the reason why I give this 4 stars intead of 3 is that it's still the best most convenient hotel in the EC District. To be honest though you might as well stay in the centre of town, most places will be no more than 10 minutes away by Metro.
