We stayed at this Hotel after tripping around Europe, America and the Uk for 5 weeks before this.
It was comfortable but not the most luxurious hotel that we stayed in however the service from the fabulous staff was second to none and the location is superb!
What a difference great staff can make to enjoying your experience. These guys were outstanding, always helpful, friendly and willing to go the extra mile at all times of the day and night. They are to be commended!
The hotel as many others have said is in an excellent postion.
A minute away from the breath-taking sight of the acropolis high on the hill and round the corner from Plaka restaurants and shops.
Our room was comfortable, air-conditioned and always clean.
The same as the photos already posted on other reviews.
The breakfast was fabulous and included local favourites such as vine leaf wrapped morsels and yoghurt and honey as well as cold meats, breads, cakes, cereals, bacon, eggs, sausages, juices and tea and coffee.
What really impressed me was on the morning we flew out, we needed to leave the hotel by 6.00am. We expected that that would mean we would just have to miss breakfast as normally seems to happen in most hotels if you leave before the breakfst service starts.
Instead the staff had set up a continental breakfast just for those leaving early which we very much appreciated!
We stayed for 2 nights before flying out to the islands and then returned for one more night before leaving Athens.
The Hotel provides a lugguage minding service for a reasonable fee which was terrific rather than having to carry heavy big bags on the ferries and small planes. We got in around 10.00 at night tired and ready for bed only to find that the staff had already transported our suitcases from storage up to the room and onto the suitcase stands ready for our arrival. Very thoughtful!
A tip, this restaurant, Shola Rhio Ouzeri Kouklis (around 5 minutes walk away) was terrific and lots of fun, inexpensive and a terrific place to try lots of different traditional mezedes (tapas) as an introduction to Greek food.
They were turning people away in droves the night we were there and the food was beautiful.
On Tripodon 14 where it meets Lisiou.

The Hotel Parthenon is one of the best places I have stayed. I have been lucky enough to travel every year over the past four. This year I was away for 13 weeks. My first ever visit to Athens & I was lucky enough to have book the Parthenon. I had such a great experience that on my second visit back to Athens within this same trip I had no hesitations to rebook.
The rooms were clean, comfortable, and very roomy. The hotel is located under the southern part of the Acropolis next to Hadrians Arch. Its 50metres from the train station, one stop away from the centre of action, though I walked the distance many times. Its close to everything including the action of night life, yet far enough to walk away from maddness should that be your prefferance.
The greatest apeal for me however was the staff. I stayed a total of 10nights and within that time Despina at front desk during day was unbelievably helpfull. I needed assistance with many things regarding my further travels and my stay. Kosta on night shift would always greet us after a night out as if coming home. We would share experiences &have a laugh. I was extremely satisfied with my experience and will only ever stay there again.

For the $$$ - this hotel was definitely NOT worth it. Very old & rooms were small. No view from room. Lobby area is much nicer than rooms. Beds very old - small twins - low to the floor - and very uncomfortable. Only stayed there based on recommendation from friends due to locale to Plaka & Acropolis.

We stayed at the Parthenon hotel for two days in mid-Sep. The staff is very helpful and polite. We went to Greece to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary and when we arrived, they had kept the only room on the 6th floor just for us. Also, we had a bottle of white wine with two glasses, a fruit basket and a little congratulations card. What a nice thought!!!
Our room was cleaned but not very big. We had the view of the Parthenon from our balcony. The location of this hotel is perfect, near everything. The buffet breakfast was excellent. We had to get up early (4:30am) to leave and they made sure we had some things to eat from the buffet (bread, juice, coffee, fruits) even that early.
We would recommend this hotel for sure.
p.s. a special thanks to one of the staff (Kostois). I hope I spell it right.

Loved the location and the staff were so accomodating. We flew over from Canada and arrived around 9 a.m. and they were gracious enough to give us a room right away. I had asked for a top floor with a view and they put us on the 4th floor. The room had a large balcony with a view of the street in front of the hotel. It had two twin beds, was clean except that the shower curtain smelled like a stinky dish rag. Once you turned on the air conditioning the smell lessened so it wasn't too bad. Loved the fact that it had a safe although you need to get the key from the front desk. The breakfast buffet was very good although a toaster would have been nice. We absolutely loved the Plaka area and as others have said, the staff were wonderfu!
