That was a pretty nice hotel, brand new (I'd say 2 years), with a nice view over Barcelona and the hills around. The pool on the roof was closed in February. Why not heating it ?
Modern design inside, room was large, bathroom wall made of glass (you can see through, funny!)
The only thing to complain about is the location, wich is a little bit out of the main places to visit (not that far from the subway station, and then a few stations from the centre). I won't recommend it for a single lady by night, the area was a hudge warehouse, and they are rebuilding it as residential. So, absolutely no night-life.

The location was shocking, we nick named it the Bronx! The staff were most unhelpful especially went my aunt had her purse stolen at the bar(broad day light)! The staff could hardly speak english and would not write a report about the inncident. The best thing about the hotel was the view from the roof , it was fantastic! All in all i would not stop at this hotel again.

Just came back from a week in the Barcelona staying at the Vincci Condal Mar. We booked over the internet and upon looking at the pictures decided that we would stay there.
Upon reading reviews about the hotel I became a little apprehensive about the location and accessibility of Barcelonas main sites.
Upon arrival at the hotel, the area was as described in some reviews, a little run down but not a ghetto. The hotel staff where friendly and efficient on booking us into our room. The hotel looks very grand and has that modern contemporary look about it.
The room was very clean and well presented. The room layout was interesting; the bathroom and bath/shower is behind a slide door and a wall made of tinted glass. This does not offer a lot of privacy but as I was staying with my partner this didn't matter. The room was very stylish with a flat screen TV and a mini bar and free safe. The hotel restaurant is very nice and the prices are about average for a good restaurant.
The hotels location is about a ten minute taxi ride to port vell or the rambla. This will cost around ten euros. Unfortunately during my stay the tube was not working so I cannot comment on this service.
Overall the hotel was very nice and I recommend it however due to the location I would on hindsight book a three star in the centre of Barcelona. This is due to the tube/underground not working but if transportation as little easier I would definitely stay again.
