We read some great reviews and some terrible reviews before booking and decided to take a chance.
The rooms were great, big for Italy, clean and tidy and had everything you need. The corridors were a little 'tatty' and need to be painted/refurbished. Communal areas were fine also.
The food in the restaurant was great for breakfast but only average for evening meal which we tried once. Other nights we were out in the City or Trastavere.
The best thing about the hotel is that it is out of the city and you can escape to the comfort of the surroundings and a superb well run pool area.
People complain about difficulty in transportation but the hotel supply buses which were perfect for getting you to a metro or tram stop and we used this all the time to good effect.
The staff were fine if you didn't treat them like dirt and if you tried to use a little Italian they loved it. A number of North Americans complained loudly about items which were not really important and I was totally embarassed. If you just get on with your holiday and mould a little the hotel is great.

In between one job in Milan and a new one in Rome, I had to find an apartment for one month which I could also use as a temporary office. Through friends I found this Apartment Hotel located near the Villa Pamphili park, with a nearby bus stop linked to the Vatican with a 10 min. ride. Few apartments, nice furniture, good service, kind owner, internet connection, silent surrounding, acceptable price. I couldn't get a more comfortable accomodation in this chaotic city.

I was with a tour group who booked this hotel for our stay in Rome. It is a large hotel and it operates with a rather impersonal attitude. Our room was large and clean with a window overlooking the side lawn. The bathroom was clean in appearance but had an unpleasant odor that indicated poor ventilation. The dining area is large and service is adequate but impersonal. Our dinner meal was served banquet style with no choices offered and mediocre at best - our pasta was al dente to a fault! Breakfast was served cafeteria style with many selections to choose from and more appealing for this reason.
We did not need the services of the hotel's shuttle bus since we had our own tour bus to visit Rome.
The highlight of our stay was an evening in the bar where the pianist/singer entertained us with a great selection of Italian and American music.
The lowlight of our stay was our inability to make use of an international phone card we had been using previously because we were unable to get an outside connection and the desk staff seemed unable and disinterested in helping.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times. I think it is a great hotel, it is a little out of the city but the hotel have layed on a bus service. They have now layed on the bus service very 15 min to different parts off the city and both stops are close to the metro. The breakfast is fab. Will be staying again.....

We stayed here as part of a group. The carpet in the halls is filthy. The attitude of the staff is arrogant. Supper at the restaurant was horrible and grossly overpriced. The staff encourages you to eat the buffet for 28 Euros each plus drinks ($44.80+) The food looked like it had been sitting out for several hours or days. We chose to order from the menu. I had a plain, 12 inch, cheese pizza for 12 Euros ($19.00) and my husband ordered the veal for 20 Euros ($32.00) The veal, which is supposed to always be served well done, was served so rare that his plate quickly filled up with blood. The staff made no offers to make this situation right. Some others in our group ate from the buffet. They reported that the food was so cold it couldn't be eaten and when they asked that the food be warmed they were told that was impossible, didn't they want to select something else (just as cold) from the buffet.
It would be one thing if the hotel just over charged for their meals, but to then serve food that can't be eaten is unforgivable.
