We stayed in a one beddroom unit for 7 nights and obtained a really good rate from the hotel website for paying for the stay in advance - no cancellations are allowed this way but we took the risk and saved a lot of $$, The staff were friendly though at one point they had us listed in 4 different rooms - don't know why. We had to have our key cards replaced after 2 days because they kept inactivating, though this can happen anywhere and the second set worked perfectly. The breakfast buffet was very well set up and provided a very good range of breakfast foods including a self-help waffle station. The setting is very nice as well, in the lobby with a big screen TV set to morning news. Our unit was very clean and up to date, recently remodelled I would think. Not large but well laid out with a decent kitchen and bathroom - granite countertops and everything worked as it should. Adequate parking, access to a courtyard area which would be nice in the summer. The motel is walking distance to the big box stores and Walmart and, in the opposite direction, to the Orchard Mall. There is a Starbucks nearby and different restaurants, from fast food to better quality - I would recommend "Joey's", where we had dinner two nights. All in all, a clean, comfortable, easly place to stay - would stay there again depending on the rates and would recommend to others.

We stayed one night and it was very nice. We stayed in the tower and had 2 beds. The bedding was great. Very comfortable. The pool was very nice. They have 2 hot tubs outside and the pool is inside. They provide continental breakfast which was normal hotel style. Bathroom was huge. I wish i had stayed longer.

My husband and I stayed here on a pleasure trip to the Canadian Rockies. The hotel room was over $200 per night and was dark and dreary with worn carpets and furniture. There was a patio in our room, but no screen door, so we could not enjoy the fresh air. When my husband used the bathroom, the toilet moved - it was not properly attached to the floor!! There was a bad odor in the room and when we asked to be moved we were told that there was nothing available and they would fix the toilet and spray the room with room freshener. Whatever the smell was, it was stronger than the room freshener and remained all night. The front desk staff was uninterested in our concerns when we informed them the next day at check out. We were "on the road" for 23 nights and this was the only "bad hotel experience" of the entire trip. I recommend you look elsewhere for quality accomodations.

My 10 year old son and I just returned from 5 nights at the Best Western Inn in Kelowna. We stayed in a "King Suite" which had been newly renovated. While the suite wasn't overly large, it was nicely appointed and perfect for our needs for the week. My only disappointment came on the final night. Apparantly "Wakefest" is a huge wakeboard festival that draws many to Kelowna. Those who booked into the hotel on our final night were largely in their 20's, into heavy drinking and partying. Several were staying on my floor and they went from room to room all night, talking loudly in the hallways, running up and down the stairs (right beside my room), allowing the doors to slam behind them, etc. Their was a party doing on in a room across the hall from me that woke me up at 3:40 a.m. Shortly thereafter, two security guards from the hotel came knocking on their door. They noise level inside the rm was so loud that they were pounding on the door and were still not heard! I'm sure everyone on my floor was up by then. I lost about 2 hours of sleep because everytime I drifted off, they were making some sort of noise again. When I went to check out the next a.m. there were groups of these folks in the parking lots, swearing loudly, beer bottles left lying outside the building and several times I saw a group on their 2nd floor balcony yelling down to friends on the ground, with the "f" word being used in every sentence. I complained to the front desk that this was not a good mix when the hotel was full of families with young kids, as well as tour bus loads of elderly. I am not a prude but the inconsideration shown by these groups of young people was astounding. I think what really put me off though was the absolute lack of response from the hotel staff. They should have put extra security on to do the odd patrol during the night, they should have been asking them to watch their language in front of others. Other than asking one party to shut down at 3:40 a.m. I did not see them address any of this. When I talked with the young lady at the reception the next a.m. I got a meek "sorry about that." I really was left with the impression that she had no training in dealing with disgruntled customers but more importantly, felt like my complaints weren't going to go anywhere else. So, great hotel but I will never go there again on "Wakefest Weekend."

My wife and I and our two teenaged sons stayed 3 nights at this hotel ending July 18, 2007. We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It is nothing fancy but has been fully updated and was very clean and well-run. The outdoor pool is covered but opens up to the outdoors on 2 sides with a large outdoor patio. The kids can swim all they want without worrying about sunscreen and we adults were able sit in the sun or under cover around the pool. A lot of the guests appear to be families with kids. Service at the front desk was always good, the rooms are clean and newly furnished in a bright spartan style. A Continental buffet breakfast is included and there was plenty of food served in a friendly atmosphere. Doing breakfast that way saves a lot of time compared to eating in a restaurant. The hotel is in town and a short drive to almost anywhere in Kelowna. Around the hotel are numerous large strip malls, mostly new, that have a good selection of well-known chain restaurants. This hotel is definitely family-friendly.
