Top tip 1: request a room that faces onto the swimming pool courtyard. The entry courtyard doubles as a restaurant, car park & jazz venue!
Top tip 2: Hotel restaurant is pricey and a bit overrated – nearby Taberna San Miguel “El Pisto” is great. None the less this is the place to stay in Cordoba – the hotel not only listens to your feedback but acts on it too! You won’t be disappointed.

Everything and everything TA has said. WONDERFUL hotel, absolutely beautiful on a tiny tucked away street. Wished we had stayed more than one night. Very tranquil, hotel staff is excellent, pool was beautiful, beds delicious, breakfast fantastic, bathroom state of the art, words cannot describe how perfect. Treat yourself.

Hospes Palacio del Bailio is a wonderful hotel in all aspects. The building is an impressive, typically Andalusian palace, carefully renovated to house a very comfortable, tranquil and luxurious hotel.
We stayed there for 2 nights in April, and were given a spacious bedroom, with a stunning decor, exquisite bathroom with shower cabin, huge tub, double vanity, and loads of wonderful Korres beauty products.
We dined at the hotel twice, as our first meal, the tapas tasting menu at the bar, left us very positively impressed. The more formal dinner at the hotel restaurant was also great, and the setting was stunning, with a roman thermal complex below the glass floor under our feet.
The pool and sundeck in the bigger inner patio looked great. The spa offers a variety of treatments, but the piece de resistance is of course the small indoor pool wich resembles a roman bath.
This must be one of Hospes most impressive properties, and absolutely worth a visit. It does suffer however of a somewhat over-the-top decor: one Catellani & Smith chandelier is great, two is enough, eight are just too many.
