Would deffo stay here again - no problem. Great location just round the corner from the Gran Via, the subway, the tourist bus stop for Madrid Vision. Rooms are modern and have a kitchenette. Take your own kettle though cos although there's a sink, fridge, microwave and hob, there's no utencils. Out of the hotel and either way you'll find corner shops selling everything you want and a cash point turn left. No breakfast as the hotel has only a reception but turn left for Starbucks or right for the 4* hotel which does brekkie. Take the Madrid Vision bus which costs 20 euros for 2 days and you'll see everthing. Don't eat in Plaza Mayor cos the food's rubbish and there are so many other lovely restaurants in the side streets. Email me if you want more info. but this really is the deal booked through last minute i paid ?380 for 3 nights for 2 people. Cab from the airport is about ?30.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at the Suites 33. The rooms were spacious with a kitchen area, a large bathroom and large living space. Contrary to other reviews we did not experience a noise problem. Our room faced the street, but we experienced no noise issues. The hotel was perfectly situated about a two minute walk from the metro station and the Gran Via, but tucked away in a small side street.

Man oh man, it pains me to say anything bad about the Suites 33. Everything about it was great except the noise was beyond excusable. I've stayed all over the world off some of the busiest streets and never had the problems like with this hotel. It faces a street that is not even that busy by Madrid standards, but any voices, drunks, cars, construction, etc. sounded like it was coming through a loud speaker and Madrid doesn't sleep (not at night at least). Most hotels like this would have sound proof glass but this was rediculous. Other than that, I would have given the hotel a 5. The rooms were fabulous, large, and clean. Staff was nice and helpful (knew english pretty well, which is rare in Spain) and the location is great. It felt very safe and was right of a main Metro line. Easy walk to all of the main locations (Communication palace, Plaza Mayor and right next to the Royal Place which is beautiful). Plenty of restaurants nearbye and a stones throw away from the main shopping/nightlife street. I would recommend this hotel 100% and happily go again but would insist on a room that did not face the street.

We were delighted with the cleanliness and spaciousness of this hotel, with really comfortable beds, lovely bathroom, good TV and we managed to connect to the internet! But unfortunately the noise at night was terrible. Shouting, traffic, and I swear the binmen came every single night at 3 am! There is building work going on just along the way and that started very early every morning too. It is a real shame because we all really liked the hotel itself. Still, it is very central with easy access to the metro and so close to the Gran Via - we had a reasonable kind of breakfast at VIPs there. It may be a good idea to ask for a room that doesn't face the street!
