My partner and I chose this hotel as a getaway for my birthday. This hotel enjoys a good location for sightseeing. We found the room small and a bit dark. The bathroom was tiny and the shower took a while before the water became hot. We found the hotel staff all very friendly and helpful. My partner requested smoked salmon (as I don't eat meat) and they served it for my breakfast - but we paid extra for this. Whenever we asked the hotel reception about water - he would always tell us to use the mini bar which we didn't as it was very expensive! We bought 3 large bottles of water for 3 Euros instead of 10 Euros for a small bottle of water!
The staff at breakfast were always very helpful and friendly. I think if you try and communicate in the little French you may possess it all helps.
There was a misunderstanding at the hotel when my partner bought me a dozen red roses and asked the florist to send them to the hotel and ask the staff to put into a vase. When we arrived back at the hotel the roses were indeed in a vase but no-one had added any water to the vase!
City hotel rooms are usually small and my partner and I were out most of the time sightseeing and eating out. This hotel was clean, centrally located with nice staff.

Very nice hotel, cool rooms, excellent breakfast, superb location. The only thing against is how hot is in the rooms, please lower the central heating! The decor of the rooms is also very tasteful. Staff friendly too.

I don't understand what all the complaints are about... a 10 minute walk to the Arc de Triomphe is NOT really all that bad, the hotel and its rooms are not that small (aren't boutique hotels supposed to be small??), and I found the staff to be more than friendly.
I stayed for 3 nights in Feb 2008. This is a charming boutique hotel with tasteful contemporary decor in an excellent central location.
No, it is not a 5 star, but I wouldn't expect to pay 5 star rates either.

Stayed for one week (both business and pleasure) with my spouse.
We really enjoyed the hotel and it's location. The neighborhood was really quaint and trendy with many bakeries, cheese shops, chocolate stores, restaurants, and clothing boutiques (to name a few).
It was very close to all the key sights:
- Arc de Triomphe (8 min walk)
- Eiffel Tower (25 min walk)
- Champs-Elys?es (15 min walk)
- Louvre / D'Orcey (35 min walk)
We even commented on the fact that if we stayed at my company's preferred hotel, we would have missed out on this part of the city.
Yes the room (103) was small, but it was clean and modern.
The staff was friendly and helpful.
The sticker price for breakfast (20 Euros) was a tad steep.

I booked what was supposed to be a Deluxe room. In fact it was basic and very small. In error I believed that the hotel was part of the Waldorf Group of Hotels - It is NOT. I assumed (my fault) that there would be a bar and a restaurant - there is not. When I tried to talk to the reception staff member about my views I found him to be rude and arrogant, smug. When I pointed out that the website did not state there was No bar or restaurant, his response was that the website did not say there was a bar or restaurant. I asked to speak to the manager - he was worse. When I asked if they were part of The Waldorf Group, his response was "At these prices what do you think" I believe people, like me are seduced into booking here because they use the name Waldorf. I lost the full cost of the first night and checked in to another hotel where the staff valued our custom. To make matters worse another staff member was clearly laughing at us as we left, I dont suppose this is the first time they have done this, nor will it be the last
