I am a budget traveler and my only requirements are safe, clean, comfortable, centrally located, and at a reasonable price. This hotel exceeded all my requirements. This was by far the nicest hotel I stayed at during my three weeks in Spain. The gentleman who checked me in was most courteous and considerate with my limited Spanish, and he spoke slowly and clearly for me. He outlined for me where the hotel was and how to get around on a map. The room was very clean, non-smoking, and pleasantly decorated. The bathroom was nearly as large as my single room with a full-sized tub. Very nice quality linens and plenty of hot water and toiletries. The bed was firm but very comfortable. The hotel is located near lots of clothing stores, so there's not much night noise. It's approx. 10 min walk to Plaza Nueva (bus to Alhambra) and Plaza Santa Ana (restaurants). Internet is available in the lobby for a nominal fee. The pretty lady who works in the mornings speaks fluent English. Excellent value for approx. $70/
night. The only thing adverse I would say about this hotel is that the hallways echo and may cause a lot of noise with other inconsiderate guests. And, I was surprised there were no foreigh language channels on the TV -- especially as Granada draws thousands of tourists for the Alhambra.

we stayed for 3 nights and asked for a triple room stating that it was for 3 adults. The extra bed was terrible, as it was a child matress (thin) so after complaining to reception we had it changed. So no problem on that respect, in fact he was vvery apologetic.
The room was a normal size room, plenty of space, and both the room and bathroom were very clean.
We booked this hotel through "Atrapalo" and got it for 66 euros a night!
Location was good, too. Under 5 minutes walk to the Cathedral. Under ten minutes walk to Plaza Nueva which is where Alhambra bus departs from.

I somehow managed to score this hotel for a measly $48 Cdn. We (2 single females) were originally reluctant to pick this one due to the low number of reviews online for this. It seemed small and unheard of and we weren't sure if we should chance it. Eventually, the monetary factor swayed us and we chose it. We were not disappointed.
Although it is on an inner side street and would be hard to miss, the first friendly local we saw brought us there himself the first time, after which we knew how to get in and out. (Be prepared not to be able to find it yourself)
The hotel front is rather small (like a store front), but the lobby was quaint and clean. (The pictures didn't do it justice). The only complaint was that immediately above the hotel front, the were huge gaping windows. They must have been doing renovations on those suites? We never heard any construction though, and didn't see any garbage/dirt/dust from it.
The suite itself was FANTASTIC. The floors were all stone/marble, the bathroom was all stone/marble. The room was well lit, and the best feature of all was the very easy to manage air conditioner. I've been to some hotels with dials that just have lo, med, hi settings that are unsatisfactory. This one is an add on into the room that you control with a remote control. You can set it to whatever temperature you wish. Being Canadians, it was very nice to sleep in a cool environment.
The service downstairs was good. Both reps we met spoke English well, were polite and helpful. The location of the hotel can't be beat, it almost is right south of the Cathedral.
I would recommend you ask for a suite facing out as we saw into some other rooms facing inwards that were very dark and got no sun.
For the price I got it at, 5 stars!!
