The worst hotel in I've stayed at in Paris. The staff is extremely rude and unhelpful. The rooms are not clean, the bed sheets were never refreshed, even after 3 days when we requested fresh sheets - it couldn't be done. The rooms are small and pokey. The breakfast is dry and served in a windowless cellar in the basement of the hotel. It's a pretend boutique hotel that beyond the nice wallpaper is nothing better than than a low budget hostel.

Had read mixed reviews about this hotel on Trip Advisor following booking, so was a bit apprehensive. However, was pleasantly surprised!
We were made to feel welcome right from the start of the weekend by the staff on reception, who went out of their way to make our stay an excellent one. From offering alternative rooms, to helping book restaurants, taxis and making recommendations on places to visit in Paris.
Special mention goes out to a bloke called Walid on reception!
Added to this, the location of the hotel is perfect, allowing most of the major attractions to be reached by foot, and the hustle & bustle of the road outside is enthralling and well worth a look..
Would definitely consider staying again if this high standard can be maintained!

We arrived in paris eleven in the evening, tired from travelling. We were told that the room was not available due to plumbing problems and that we are booked into another hotel in another area. This was delivered quite as a matter of fact, no apologies. We were taxied to the Newton opera hotel a shabby 3 star with horrible rooms (Fawlty Towers like). I tried to call the manager of Victoires Opera the next day but he was not available. Our trip got a bad start due to this hotel that apparently has a system of overbooking and cooperating with the Newton Opera and the Washington Opera Hotels. They are lying right in the face of the guests and with this reshuffling system they get rid of all the cheaper deal clients. Please beware of these hotels and tell your booking agents about these facts.

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel,we were lucky enough to be upgraded upon arrival to a junior suite!the room had more than enough space with a nice little sitting area. The best part was the location, situated on the loveliest street with little cafes and bars all along it.about a 5 min walk away was a very picturesque park area next to a shopping mall and many restuarants.A handy subway was nearby also and the river is in walking distance aswell with all the lovely sights!
I would definately recommend this hotel to couples in perticular on a romantic break!

We absolutely loved this hotel. It is on an historic cobblestone street that used to be a market and is now a "walking street", full of cafes and pretty little shops -- within walking distance of all major areas, but not as touristy as other places that I have stayed in Paris. In Ste. Germain or on the Left Bank one hears English a lot more, and one encounters some 'attitude' -- we found everyone on Rue Montorgeuil to be welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. It is also a real neighbourhood -- locals walking home from work every evening with their kids in tow, stopping for a drink or to buy a baguette at the boulangerie. Fantastic restaurants within feet of the hotel -- we loved Cancale (a few doors up the street) and a place around the corner on Etienne Marcel that specializes in foie gras and champagne. The hotel employees were exceptionally helpful -- we had no complaints at all. They cheerfully delivered anything that we asked for, our room was cleaned daily, and fresh sheets and towels were always provided. Our room had a fridge, mini-bar, and a shower/bath -- quite luxurious by Paris standards. It was quiet, clean, comfy and so nice and dark when we wanted to sleep in! Pass on the breakfast and go to the cafe across the street for petit dejeuner. Take advantage of the "Velo" bikes that are available for daily or weekly rental. We have family members living in Paris, and they always recommend this hotel.
