Just returned on Thursday, July 3rd and stayed at the hotel the last 2 days of our trip. First impression was wonderful, hotel is clean and quaint. The front desk was helpful as well as the doormen. We booked 2 rooms since we were traveling with teenage girls and they needed their own space. Our room was fine until I sat my suitcase down by the window (no food inside my suitcase) and ants appeared from the window and walls. My husband went down stairs and told them of the problem and asked if they would come and spray and the woman attendant had said if we didn't open the window the ants would not have come. There was no signs anywhere saying don't open window!!! However the manager very kindly moved us to a different room which was much nicer than what we had booked. I would ask for a room on the spanish park side next time. The rooms airconditioning does not work very well or almost not at all. The temps were about 95-100 degrees and this is not acceptebale when your on the 5th floor. We had a really hard time sleeping at night and cooling down. The bathroom is equipped with everything you need except a blow dryer. The hotel will tell you they provide one but it is attached to the wall and looks like a vacuum cleaner. I found it to be awful!!! Thank heaven my daughter brought her own blow dryer that we all could share.
Hotel has a beautiful bar/restraunt on the roof top but it was too hot to enjoy (bummer). I'm sure it would have been romantic with a glass of wine and the one you love. The breakfast buffet was okay but when they close down they are down right rude about waiting just one more minute to grab anything. We were always sleeping in since our bodies were having a hard time adjusting from all the different time zones we had experienced in the last few weeks.
We checked out at 5:15 a.m. and we were suprised to see management up and greeting us. He didn't look awake but he was there as well as a doorman.

The Hotel Victoria proved to be a pleasant surprise the week of June 2nd. Although a little dated, this hotel is very clean and the staff is very attentive. The bathrooms are totally renovated!
During the summer it's rooftop bar and dining was lovely overlooking the Borghese Gardens !
In addition you are located one block from the Via Veneto which is lovely and easy walking distance from the Spanish Steps,Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon...give it a try!!

A lovely hotel with very helpful staff. Although the hotel isn't the most central, it is still within easy walk of all that rome has to offer. Very pleased. Oh and the roof terrace is nice as well.
Wonderful!
