This is the worse hotel I have ever stayed at. The location is further than what is advertised, the mattresses were old and you felt like you were going to roll to the floor. The rooms smell and the Air Conditioning is controlled by the receptionist. We had to ask them to turn it on after we checked in, then in the evening when we came back from Venice and then again at 1:00 am my husband had to get up and get dressed so he could go to the reception and ask them to turn the AC again. The man at the reception claimed he didn't know how it got turned off. Needless to say the AC went off again at 5:00 am . I really do not know how this hotel managed to get three starts.

Ladies and gentlemen,i've been to this hotel. To start with...it was far from what was promised or displayed on the brochure. We went to room after waiting for somebody to attend us at the reception desk for 45 mins. Then we were led to a room which was like a box room! we couldn't believe it,it was late and we decided to stay.
Showerhead was awful...no hot water,we had to wait for them to fix it before we showered.Apparently they turn the heating(including water in the taps!) etc off and provide only if requested on the phone! Can you believe that. The cupboard had a broken handle..there were additional bedding inside it..but with bedbugs infested!
It was far from venice and we decided to move out next day to some place close to venice.
The only positive thing about the place was the toilet which was clean.

Rooms on 1st and 3rd floor are basic but okay. Hotel was clean and receptionist very friendly guy and helpful - BUT - it is impossibl t o understand why any sane person would have put together the bathrooms
in such a way (!) some of the twins and single rooms on the 2nd floor are beyond belief.. Seriously - they have put Bidets in the very very
small bathrooms which compromise the location of the toilets.
In one single room the toilet faces the shower and there is no floor space between the two on which to put your feet when sitting on the loo! - you have to sit with your feet in the shower tray! - in one of the twins the toilet was placed opposite the bidet - there was not enough room inbetween the 2 things to fit even a skinny pair of legs so you have to sit sideways on the loo!
- in another room there was a fold up sofa-type bed, when unfolded it was very lumpy with large craters dipping in several parts of it. We were a group of travel professionsals who use this hotel and the management knew this and should at least have tried to impress us! which goes to show how little they care -not one of us will recommend this to our passengers now!
The hotel doesn't have its own restaurant but uses the adjoining one. There is absolutly nothing else in the area to go to, so you have no choice but to eat there.
The food was lacklustre, very small poritons, tinned vegetables, and one of us had a hair in the fish!

The receptionist, Diego, was warm and friendly upon our arrival to the hotel, which seems kinda' stranded. There is practically nothing around it except for a cafe restaurant next door named Spaghetteria, which one should only go to if at risk of starving to death.
Breakfast food served by this hotel was really pathetic. Also, the staff are not trained to greet their guests "Buongiorno" but instead glare at them like they are intruders.
The guest rooms are tiny, but the bathrooms are even tinier. Our 3-night stay was just bearable.

My fiance booked this as a surprise so I didn't have a choice really.
It was a quaint place. Nothing spectacular I'm afraid. Rooms were small but alright. Bedding wasnt changed during our stay but towels were. Breakfast was a no-no! I'm used to hot cooked breakfasts when I stay at hotels...Not so, at Ariston! It's all sweet pastries and chocolate spreads...not my ideal breakfast! There isn't much choice around the hotel either. There is a Lidl further along the road. Travelling to Venice was annoying every day. Bus, then boat, etc. It may not be that expensive but it all adds up. If we were to return, we wouldn't stay there. We'd much rather stay in the heart of Venice.
