having reviewed Trip Advisor we tried to book Orly but it was full so went for Bonaparte. Good price but many problems on check-in - toilet seat broken, aircon not cooling (as others have said) but the staff were really great and resolved everything. Breakfast was average - a bit boring. Worth the price but nothing to shout over

We stayed in this cozy hotel last yaer and considered an excelent experience. The staff was very kind, giving tips about things to do and how to go where we wanted to.
It is about a 15 minutes walk to the closer metro station (Los Leones) and from stores, markets and restaurants.
The room was very clean and comfortable and the air heating was good, considering it was very cold.
The breakfast was also very good and had many options of juices, breads, fruits and other things.
We recomend this hotel as a god place to come back after a long day walking around. We deffinetlly come back there.

I stayed at the Hotel Bonaparte as part of a doctoral group visiting from Washington, D.C. It's in a great location and walking to the Los Leones metro stop was very convenient, as were the other stores. The hotel staff was friendly, helpful and very efficient. The breakfast buffet was incredible and the restaurant staff was too.
I will definitely stay at the Hotel Bonaparte again when visiting Santiago.

My partner and I stayed at Bonaparte Hotel last month for over a week (February, 15th to 23rd). When we arrived there (around 6 pm), the staff told us that our reservation was for only one night instead of the eight nights as I had booked. Besides that, the eight-night reservation should have been for a queen size bed and not for two single beds as the hotel had for us. I tried to show the clerk my vouchers, but he told us that was not his problem and that I should talk to my travel agency in Brazil, New Age.
I tried to explain him that because it was the weekend, it would be impossible to reach anyone at the travel agency in Brazil. The clerk was very rude and insisted that it was not his problem. In the entire episode, even if I have showed all the vouchers, the hotel clerk never tried to check with the reservation office if the mistake the hotel’s. At the end, after several phone calls, including international calls to Brazil and to London on my own expense to try to reach the New Age Travel Agency, I, by myself, found out that the mistake was on the hotel’s fault that had split the reservation in two: one reservation for one night and the other one for seven nights (these reservations were there, but the hotel clerk never tried to search before my several phone calls).
At same night, trying to forget this regretful episode, we went to the hotel restaurant, and again another disaster: the food was awful - mine was burned and my fianc?’s was still frozen. We complained with the restaurant staff about our orders, and once again all we got from them was disdain. The following days were from bad to average, but I cannot forget the very first day there and I will never return to that hotel, and most certainly, I will never recommend that awful place.

We actually connected with the Hotel Bonaparte through the tour operators we were using, Santiago Adventures. The hotel is lovely. The rooms are quite "basic", no frilly bits, but everything is spotless. The room size was large and it had everything we needed. The location of the hotel is great as we could walk into Providencia for dinner. The best part of our stay in Chile was actually the tours provided by Santiago Adventures. We chose to have private tours with a driver and a guide and we're so glad we did. Our guide, Carolina, was an adorable young woman and very knowledgeable, and our driver, Patricio, was a lovely retired man who had a wealth of knowledge as well. We went to wineries and a hacienda for a private lunch the first day and to Valparaiso and Vinha del Mar the second. The choice of lunch sites was magical.
