I do prefer design hotels because I?m very allergic and also like modern things BUT............................................ After 25 days of trip, we stayed in 7 diferent hotels, I can compare them all! Brunelleschi is very well located, very clean and with a very good breakfast!!!!!! When we arrive, I was upset, because the hotel is really old. The room has a good size, a old air condition working perfectly. The bathroom was remodeled, a very good shoer, but the sink wasnt working very well. BUT I WANT YOU TO KNOK, again: ITS VERYYYYY CLEANNN !!!! and VERY well located!!!

Stayed at the Brunelleschi again after three years. Was lucky to have been given one of the 'modernised/new' rooms (insist on these). Room was spacious, bed comfortable and furniture, though not entirely to my taste, was new and functional. Bathroom had huge tub (not clear why: maybe for parties ?). Room was clean. Aircon was, however, rubbish and had to be turned off as it was too noisy. Breakfast is mediocre as often in Italy. Unless it's included in the room price (or even if it is actually), go next door to Viel for a fresh fruit smoothie (the original: was around 30 years ago before they became fashionable). Location is OK: central but slightly seedy in lapdance land. Not at all dangerous though. I stayed because my other options (Grand Hotel, De la Ville, Spadari, DucadiYork) in reasonable price range were all full. Could go back but not my first or even second choice.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel during April 2008. It was much better than I expected. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. It is just a five minute walk to the Duomo. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

This hotel is in a great location, fair priced, with everything you need in a room. I stayed here with my girlfriend, and we really enjoyed the large, comfy bed, the automatic window shutters, and the 2 block walk to the heart of Milan. It is small, so you feel like the concierge can actually help you. They gave us two great restaurant recommendations. Really worthwhile place. Some great deals available online for it too.

On reading reviews on this hotel - became a little concerned ... as this had been booked last July (2007) for 6 girls for a good friends 50th Birthday. When we arrived at the hotel on Saturday 8th March - we were early after a 6.30 am flight from Luton airport - but the staff were very welcoming and booked us into the 3 x twin rooms within minutes .. which I must say we were very impressed by - the best room out of the lot was room 821 - very spacious ... Cant fault this hotel at all ... excellent service all round including our 30 euro set meal in the hotel restauraunt .. very good value ... Can also recommend the Da Bruno restauraunt round the corner (thankyou to the doorman for that advise ...) In all ...an excellent hotel - easy walking distance to the Duomo and many places of interest ...
