My wife and I stayed at the hotel from Thursday to Sunday inclusive, in early July, 2008, and would certainly go back.
Contrary to other reports I've read, we didn't hear a train once and wouldn't have even known there was a train track running behind the hotel had we not been told.
Other than for some street traffic from time to time,which is to be expected, our large, clean, well-equipped, king-size bed room on the 5th floor was very, very good and satisfyingly quiet!
The "Seasons" restaurant, where we had breakfast each morning (the sometimes advertised free breakfast doesn't exist but you get a 10% discount card for lunch or supper upon checking it...we didn't use it) was very good. Food was good, service (thanks, Edith!!) was excellent. Room server was very good and prices quite reasonable.
Free parking was no problem and the hotel is located very close to restaurants, liquor store, grocercy store, etc.
The only real complaint we might have is the fact that the pool is small and hidden away in a dim basement, with no windows, so resembles a cistern. I tried it once, with no other swimmer present, but didn't stay long. It was depressing.
Security was good and in most cases (sometimes it wasn't needed) you have to put your room key card into a slot in the elavator to make it work.
Good place to stay and centrally located to most attractions.

Dirty and Disappointing!

My finace and I wanted to have a romantic mini vacation after a particularly stressful week. We wanted a jacuzzi suite and Cedar Park Inn had one left, so we took it. With the hefty price of $380.00, we were extremely disappointed with the room. I thought I saw dirt in the tub, but it was just a bad stain. My fiance found hair in the bathroom tub and the floor. The phone did not work properly and our breaker kept going. On top of it all, we sat in the hotel restaurant for 20 minutes with NO service (the staff was standing around and ignoring our attempts at getting their attention!) They did help an elderly couple when they showed up 15 minutes AFTER us. Oh and one last thing, they would not accept my CAA/AMA Card for a discount, which I will be in contact with to see why!
Anyways, it was an alright room, with some pretty disgusting qualities and POOR customer service!

The rooms were nice the service was alright. It had a pool and a fitness room and a good restaurant. Definetly a place to stay in Edmonton.

We were in Edmonton to attend a major event. Even though this is an older hotel, we found it to be clean and comfortable. What was outstanding was that there was no road noise whatsoever. Our room was at the front of the hotel over the entrance. We have travelled a lot and never experienced such quiet nights, great for those who need to sleep!

This hotel is at a great location but we found the staff to be exceptional especially un these day and age. When we arrived after our car broke down, the staff was exceptionally helpful.Mind you, it was late and 40 below. Not only did they check me in without fuss, they provide us with a list os mechanics the next day. The room was very clean with all amenities beyond our expectation. In room fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer, iron/board and a vey comfortable duvet.
