We really enjoyed our stay at the Hesperia Golf Hotel. It was very much a last minute booking and having read some of the reviews we had some concerns. However on arriving all these disappeared. We were greeted by a porter who took all our luggage to our rooms.
Each room was very clean and well presented. The bed linen was changed daily, beds turned back every evening with a complimentary chocolate beside the bed, slippers & gowns were also provided.
The swimming pool was a delight.. our children had a fantastic time. It is of a reasonable size with four stepped entrances. The pool is manned by a lifeguard daily and decent size towels are provided free of charge. The pool bar was lovely as were the staff. With each drink we were given a variety of complimentary olives, nuts etc.. There is also a smaller more shallow pool for very young children.
We only paid for bed & breakfast, but what a breakfast! The selection ranged from a traditional cooked breakfast to the usual cereals, yoghurts, toast, fruit as well as smoked salmon, caviar, pastries galore, cheese cake, Homer style donuts and more!!
Food is served at request any time of the day, well into the late evening. We ate frequently at the hotel and enjoyed the range of food on offer all of which was of a high standard. If we had to fault the food in any way, we would point out that the cooked breakfast wasn't all that hot by after 10am which could be improved upon.
We didn't use the golf facilites, but the course looked very appealing. There is a free shuttle bus every half hour down to the beach (Takes around 10 mins) Beach was very pleasant. Unfortunately most of the restaurants along the seafront don't open till around 8pm (but we gather this isn't unusual for Spain).
If you plan to go to this hotel, have a great time!

Please dont ever stay at this hotel......definitely not a five star i wouldnt even say it is an average 3 star. I stayed here for four nights with my sister for a "luxury" break away! Our non smoking hotel room had cigarette burns all over the carpet and stank of stale smoke but we didnt complain. The room was so disappointing, really basic and dirty. Then we headed down to the bar for something to eat and drink, the food was terrible but i have to say the staff here were very good and chatted away. The pool was lovely but unfortunately the pool side bar was closed and had a big pad lock on it so we couldnt even get water! The breakfast let a lot to be deisred...all we could do in the end was laugh, it was like staying in faulty towers. I have to say some of the staff at the reception were not very helpful and i might as well have been talking to the wall. All in all i would definitely not be going back there....oh ya i almost forgot there are beautiful peacocks walking around the grounds but when you are having breakfast inside and four of them walk past you its a little bit weird especially when one jumped on the table and none of the staff seemed bothered by it!
