Good hotel near airport

Nice clean comfortable room. If you want to park you will need to get directions from reception to underground car park (15 euros per night). Don't think I would want to stay here if we had been visiting Barcelona as it is a bit far out, but was ideal for overnight stop. Would stay here again.
More than we had expected

This hotel offered everything that we needed during our stay. The room was large and comfortable although I'm not one for "fake flowers" which were part of the decor. The sheets were of a high standard, the air conditioning worked well, the bed was comfortable (we did ask for extra pillows), every corner was clean, and the free mini bar was convenient. It is located in a residential neighborhood which means plenty of small shops and places in which to eat. The lobby is quite roomy with a bar and there are two computers (with printer) for guests' use for a small fee. The free airport shuttle was a real bonus because the taxi charges in Barcelona are extremely high.

We stayed at this hotel from 1st to 5th june 08 expecting a twin room and got a king!! bonus, on arrival we asked a male receptionist about a bus to the city centre, he said there was`nt one, but he could call a taxi for 20 -25 euros! bit suspect we thought, but we had already read that there were busses, so we went out and asked around sure enough you can get one not far from the hotel and at 1.30 euro`s p.p very cheap, its a 165 el prat express which runs regularly you come out of the hotel turn right and walk towards the supermarket a little walk away just on the roundabout there is a bus stop, on the opposite side of the road to the hotel, I have since read that you can also turn left ouside the hotel and catch a number 21 bus, but either way no probs getting into the city cheaply and at approx 15-20 minutes drive quickly enough. BEWARE OF LA RAMBLA the center`s main attraction ( well one of them )eating and drinkling is a rip off, and we would never do it again, but the experience and sights are worth a walk down it, eg. 2 drinks in La Rambla 24 euro`s, same 2 drinks with 2 waters as well off La rambla 4-6 euros, they also charged the next table 27 euros for 2 glasses of sangria!!! We have read a few reviews about the location of the hotel and there not being any bars and shops but we found that not to be the case at all, it was fine, and there was a big square not far from the hotel with bars to eat at and shops, the only problem not far from the hotel an underground parking area was under construction so it was to noisy to use the bars just up from the hotel would definitely do it again a great base, THERE IS A TOURIST PLACE WHERE YOU GET OFF THE BUS GET A STREET MAP, REALLY USEFUL FOR FINDING YOUR WAY ROUND LA RAMBLA.
