This is a big mess of a place. It has grown every which way and so their rooms are in goofy locations and nothing is very convenient. Breakfast has all the ambience of an army chow hall. BUT go see King Saddlery in town. It is world class.

We stayed at this place 30 years ago and nothing has been done to it since. The food in the restaurant was terrible. Limp salad, tough steaks. Didn't stay for free breakfast. The room had two doors - one opening to an interior hall and the other to parking in back along an alley. We found out the next morning that the to door to the alley didn't lock! We slept in there with no lock on the door next to an alley. Now, Sheridan Wyoming may be the safest place on earth, but I have no way of knowing that. At check out, I kindly told the desk clerk about it and asked her to note it. I didn't want to get blamed if someone came in and trashed the room after we left. She didn't believe me! I had to go back across the street, with a witness before she would make a note. There were also small black bugs jumping on the white bathmat when it was laid out on the floor.

Worst conference service I have ever seen

We used this hotel for a combined statewide conference but when we got there, the event coordinator seemed not to have time for us. Our conference was three full days. I stayed 1 1/2 days and didn't see the motel coordinator at all in spite of asking for her several times. The coordinator of the other portion of the conference asked several times also. We had to ask at least twice for everything or the request was ignored. After my co-coordinator had several altercations with a desk clerk, we asked for a manager. The only manager available was the restaurant manager, who complained that our food request had been received only two days before. (The events coordinator didn't return our calls to order food until very late and then assured us there wouldn't be a problem with the late date.) Each complaint about the service was met with an excuse so we asked for the general manager, who of course, wasn't there. As far as I know, no one except the restaurant manager ever showed up to address our complaints. Also, at the last minute, we learned that there was no room available for a board meeting that was initially requested and noted on the contract. To accommodate the board meeting, the restaurant staff had to move our reception into a room we had been using all day, which delayed the reception nearly an hour. On the flip side, the restaurant staff tried to be helpful and the food was good. Strong suggestion: NEVER use this motel for conferences.

We stayed there 6/25/07 and basicly the place was disappointing even though we had a comfortable king bed in a large room with a vanity separate from the bathroom with the tub/toilet which we like. The down side was that we were on the second floor (no elevator), the A/C was so loud that it kept us awake, we could hear auto traffic from the street and train traffic during the night, and we had to walk accross the street to the hotel's main building for our morning coffee. Will find another place to stay next time we're in Sheridan.

Super Stay Durring Snow Storm

We were stuck in Sheridan due to a snow storm. We called the Holiday Inn and were quoted a "snow day" rate of $149.00. The Comfort Inn (limited service hotel) wanted $149.00. Talk about price gouging!!!! We called the Best Western and were quoted their regular rate of $84.00. That included a full hot breakfast thet no other hotel offered. We grabbed the room and were very pleased with a wonderful room with 2 queen beds by the indoor pool. Super clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was great also. Bacon and scrambled eggs with hashbrowns and breakfast breads. The kids loved the waitress we had. She helped make a bad day a lot better. The entire staff were fantastic. They kept us advised as to the road closures. As soon as they opened, they called our room to let us know. They will have my business whenever we travel to the Sheridan area.
