So upon entering the hotel, the lobby is quite chic. A little cold in decoration but nice. The afternoon tea seems like a waste of $$$ as no one was ever there during my 5 nights. The room I booked was $500 and calling it a room was a stretch. The first room stuck like smoke so I moved since I had originally asked for non smoking. The next room was so small for 2 people that you couldn't move.
I went on the internet to see what class of room I had booked and found I could get a jr. suite for the same time I was in the hotel if I booked on the internet right then and the price was what I was paying. When I inquired about this deal at the front desk, they said that I book a classique room and there was a special. She didn't know if I could get the special though. So I asked what would happen if I checked out early to a different hotel and she told me this was ok. However, a manager overheard the conversation and while I was shopping in Paris, he callled me and told me we were upgraded to a jr suite for the price I had booked for a classique room.
As someone previously said, the jr suite is barely this. They are really small! Location of hotel is good but hotel is not great. It is also a bit worn and dirty! I would not recommend this hotel.

I travel to Paris quite a lot with work, so I've become acquainted with the average size of hotel rooms and the very French breakfast on offer!
I booked my rooms directly through the hotel's website, which offered significant discounts on the room rate (available pretty much right up until the night before).
The hotel is perfectly situated in Paris for both business and pleasure. The shopping of both luxury boutiques and the Champs Elys?es is moments away, fantastic restaurants are only moments away (to treat yourself, or to impress a client) and metro lines 1 and 9 are very close. Finding a taxi also isn't a problem.
Whilst it's true that reception is small, it is perfectly suited to its function (after all, who wants to waste space on a reception desk?!) and leaves space for the immaculate lounge area. Yes, the breakfast area is small, but it feels very airy due to the mirrors and white walls. Breakfast has a smaller selection than your average 'run of the mill' business hotel and is centred around a traditional French breakfast (you're in France afterall....), but the quality is much higher than in other hotels I've been in.
I had a room on the 5th floor, and from the plan of the hotel plotting the emergency exits, it looks like I had a smaller room, but compared to other Parisian hotels, it was VERY spacious. The only downside was that the room was very warm and the air-conditioning didn't really cool the room down. An open window solved that problem, and also revealed a neat little balcony from which to watch the world go by. The bathroom is fully equiped and makes best use of the space available.
A highlight of the hotel is the fact that the staff are helpful and can pull strings for you; in my case, they managed to find me a table in a fantastic restaurant down the road for me on my own, when couples were being turned away....
Overall, a stay in this hotel will make you feel special. It's just a shame they chose to put blankets and sheets on the bed, rather than duvets....

We stayed for 5 nights in a junior suite.
Great location and a lovely hotel in minimalist monochrome decor and interesting art. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout.
Our room was lovely, although the 'junior suite' description was maybe a little ambitious - it was a fair size room with a large (and very comfortable) double bed and a small sofa/chair/table at one end. The design is fantastic, with lots of attention to detail with lighting etc.
Breakfasts were great with a wide choice (quite rare in France!). Afternoon tea was a nice touch too. There is no restaurant (plenty nearby) and room service - which we didn't try - is supplied from outside the hotel. Main courses were around Eu20-22.
The only small reservation is that the aircon was switched off for the winter and the room was stuffy with the windows closed, with quite a lot of street noise if left open. However I know they were looking into this.
Overall a very enjoyable stay.

I had read about Hotel Le A and thought it would be a good hotel to review for my website Bombastic Life and so I booked a three night visit. From the very beginning I started to get the idea that the hotel was not going to hit the Bombastic level.
Reception was cold and unwelcoming, the room was tiny, room service way over-priced and extremly slow.
Overall the visit was a huge disappointment. The location is good but other than that, the hotel is Not Bombastic.
