The rooms at Roma were the biggest we had in all of our 7 city tour of Iberia. We even had a balcony which was nice for drying some clothes. The bathroom was large and clean and had a good hair dryer. One reviewer said they had to pay for hot water but that was definately not the case for us.
The location is a bit away from the center of town but very close to a Metro stop. The Metro was very clean and easy to use.
Our 3 kids were excited to swim in the pool (strangely located in what we called the dungeon) but 2 of the 3 were terribly disappointed to see that the entire pool was only 2 feet deep. The 4 year old was in pool heaven! You do have to pay to use the hot tub and it was only slightly warmer than the pool so not worth it. Overall, it was refreshing after a very hot day seeing Lisbon.
Breakfast was decent and even though it was a buffet, they were happy to make special order scrambled eggs for my kids that can't have milk.
We had a very nice dinner in the hotel restaurant and found good cafes just steps away from the hotel.
I would stay in Roma again when visiting Lisbon.

I booked this hotel because of the price. The rooms are really clean and big, breakfast is good. The city centre (the areas that are in tourists interest) are far away but I knew it so it wasn't a problem. There is metro station just around the corner. It took around 40 mins to walk to centre or around 4 euro taxi ride. Taxis were reliable in the city centre but we got ripped off when going from airport to hotel so be careful!
The area is quite nice & lively, there are shops, restaurants, cafes so it is not bad eventhough it really is not central location. Next time I might pay a bit extra for more central location though.

We have just returned from our stay at the Hotel Roma and our expectations were fulfilled. We was looking for a hotel with an indoor swimming pool to relax in after a walking day with our child and after reading some good reviews and finding a great deal on atrapalo.com we booked this hotel. The location is ok, it's just a 7 euros taxi ride from the airport and the metro service leaves you at the city centre in about 15min (the nearest station is 3 min walking from the hotel). The room was big and clean, the decor is typical hotel. The service is great and the staff is very helpful. The hotel is very close to a train station but we were not disturb by any noise from trains. Only minor complaint is that the coffee is awful. Good hotel for families at a good price.

We've been there in February. Got a good rate by Hotel Club but we were told it was not anymore available. We booked for a couple and were given twin beds.
Hotel is close to the airport, but in a part of the city with no monuments. The hotel's lobby has a flavour of the 70's. You have to pay to access internet in the lobby. What was curious is that we were charged for the use of the swimming-pool and the very "cheap" gym.
Breakfast was fine, but not typical at all, with an intercontinental buffet. You can get excellent pasteis and coffee for 2,5 ? in one of the many pastries.

We stayed for 4 days in Feb and loved it. having read the reviews we were worried that it might be disappointing. The room was huge for 2 of us and service was friendly and helpful.Although the pool was almost too shallow for an adult to swim in, we still had a lovely time and will return next year.
