The hotel does not quite make is 5* grading but it is was a good choice with excellent rates available from the hotel direct, or from hotel internet sites. It cost approx 15 euros in a taxi from the airport. It is situated about a 35 min walk to the centre of the old town (6-7 euros in a taxi in less than 10 mins).
After the excellent breakfast that included cereals, fresh fruit, cold meats, cheeses, bacon and fried eggs to name but a few items, the walk was needed to burn off some calories. However there were always taxis available from just outside the hotel should you want one.
All the hotel staff we encountered, reception, bar/restaurant staff and cleaners were all very helpful and polite.
The rooms are a good size, modern and very comfortable. The bathroom facilities included slippers and bath robes.
There is also free internet access in the reception area.
As I have said in previous reviews is was a choice between quality / price and location. The excellent rates you can get (B+B) will compensate for any taxi fares that you incur to get to the main tourist areas. I think I made the right choice.

The hotel is 3 km away from the city center of Santiago de Compostela right off the 6 lane high way near the Convention center. There is a bus running to the City Center but not very regularly. So you better have your own transport to go to the center of this marvellous city. But where to park there?????
The hotel is marketed as a five star hotel. It has big rooms and good beds. It reminded me of a resort hotel in the US. There it would gain 4 stars, since it lacks those special things of a five star: Towels were not abundant, there was no bell boy to help with the luggage at 9 PM, the breakfast buffet big, the quality fine, but not overwhelming.
The main draw back was the sound proofing: My neighbour's television seemed to be in my room. Perhaps he was deaf?
I booked the hotel on the same day on a European hotel reservation site and paid 75 euros for a double room with breakfast buffet for two. That was very good, since all the more centrally located hotels in Santiago were fully booked.
In my opinion this is a hotel for tour groups, but as an individual traveller you will be better off staying near the city center where you don't have to take a bus to get to the next café.
