we spent two nights at Hans Memling, and everything was first class, we had a room at the top of the hotel, it was quiet, clean and adaquate for our stay. the breakfast was first class and i recomend the scrambled eggs, they were delicious. Anyone visiting Bruges, Iwould highly recomend this hotel. the staff were very helpful and friendly sandy and isabelle Lanark in scotland

My wife & I stayed for 3 nights at the hotel and found the staff to be extreemly helpful, any request was dealt with immediately. The breakfasts were excellent and plenty of it. The room was very comfortable and most of all very clean. The bar was the nicest one we had been in for a long time, bar prices were average just a little dearer than some other places but if you want a little bit of luxury then it is worth it. We would certainly go again and are hoping to in the not too distant future. The location of the hotel is perfect for all the sites. Friday & Saturday nights can be a little noisy as there is a nightclub nearby. We can only say keep up the good work Hans Memiling Hotel. Cyril & Wendy Round

My wife and I stayed in in the Hans Memling hotel for 2 nights in December of 2006, the hotel was small and without atmosphere. The rooms were very basic and the noise from the street below was very off putting, I would not stay here again however the hotel is situated right off the main square so is ideal for people who cannot walk too far etc. Bruges itself is one of my favourite cities and is well worth a visit.

The hotel is located approx 5 mins walk from main square. The surrounding area has a few bars and restaurants. Noise late evening was a disadvantage (when bars close). The hotel itself has a large, light airy breakfast room. Breakfast was continental in style, fresh and plenty of everything. We booked a double room but received a twin bedded room (beds were pushed together). We did speak to Reception but as all other rooms were fully booked we could not be transferred. The room was in the attic and was small, the window above the bed slanted and wasnt ideal as when opened, cold air came straight down onto the bed. The bathroom was clean, spacious and well appointed. We were disappointed with our room as when we viewed pictures online they appeared much more spacious. Overall we had a nice stay here and would return although would have to insist on a double room on a lower floor. The location of the Hotel is perfect!

The gentleman at the front desk was very unfriendly and rude. The room was not very cleanly and the shower didn't drain. The price was fairly inexpensive and the location was good. It's up to you to decide what is most important to you when traveling. I prefer friendly service and a clean room.
