I stayed there with my couple for three nights as we had some friedns celebrations in the area of Almeria. I agree with other reviews that this hotel is pretty basic. Reception area is pretty nice (except one rude guy at the reception) but rooms are small and outdated. Breakfast really just ok - not much to chose from. We didn't spend so much time in the hotel - so for just spending nights there is pretty ok. I have to admitt that hotel location is really good. And other point is the price - our double room per night was just above 50 Euro inlcuding breakfast. So if you have lots of other things to do in Almeria cost except spending time in the hotel then Torreluz is a good option for a night. If you prefer to spend some time at hotel pool for example then I found Hotel Barcelo having similar prices but looking more impressive then Torreluz.

After staying in the Torreluz II last year on a trip to Almeria, I thought I would stump up the extra 8 euro to stay in the Torreluz III this time around. We stayed twice, for one night each time, at either end of our holiday. It was a great base from which to explore the city and I found the reception staff both friendly and approachable. We stayed on weekends both times and paid 53.50 euros for the room, which when shared between two seemed very reasonable for such a clean and spacious room. Although we didn't try it, the room service was clearly and fairly priced and I enjoyed the wide selection of tv channels available, in french and german as well as spanish.
The only slight disappointment was that when we went down for breakfast we were told that it wasn't included because we were staying in Torreluz III which hadn't been explained to us, but we were offered the option of paying for the breakfast buffet or just ordering from the cafeteria menu. We opted for the latter and managed to fill up for a little over 2 euros each, so it didn't turn out to be a major problem.
Compared to the Torreluz II, the entrance and elevators are far more plush and the rooms seemed a bit bigger and slightly better furnished, but that aside there seemed very little to choose between them, and with breakfast thrown in I might be tempted to opt for the Torreluz II in future, as the same reception area and cafeteria are used for both.

we stayed overnight in this 3 star hotel, the room and facilities were excellent but best of all was the location,in a lovely little square very close to all the shops and restaurants.
To find the hotel follow the signs from Anenida Frederico Garcia Lorca
Parking is available @ 10 euros per day and well worth it for the security and peace of mind.
Reception staff were very freindly and helpful in all aspects and speaking very good english.
Price we paid was terrific for a city centre hotel.Would definetly stay here again.

I've just come home from a trip to Almeria. I booked into this hotel for 4 nights, based on good reviews on this and other websites. I had my 15 month old son with me.
I found the staff to be very unfriendly and unhelpful. They were unapproachable when it came to heating food for my son. And the staff in the kitchen were rude when we ordered room service one night. The staff in the cafe were very offhand and rude too. So much so that we never went back there for food, prefering the local cafe down the street.
The walls were paper thin and other guests were shouting and making noise all night.
The good point were that it was very clean, the maids were very friendly and helpful, even though we didn't speak Spanish. The location is excellent, very close to shops, restaurants and a lovely 20 minute walk to the beach.
Just be warned. Not child friendly. And rude staff I definately wouldn't return and wouldn't recommend this hotel.
