Good things about this hotel:
-breakfast
-location
Bad things about this hotel:
-dirty and run-down
-very small toilet and shower - with no curtain so the floor was constantly wet
-some other marks of leakage shown on the ceiling
The reason why I booked this hotel because it's relatively cheaper than the others of similar star rating, and because of its central location. It's also part of the "Comfort" chain so I thought it should be ok... but nope... I was wrong, it wasn't comfortable at all! It wasn't arty either...

My partner and I have just come back from a long weekend in Brussels. The hotel is situated right next to the metro station and only 5 minutes walk from grand place - it really was a great location.
We were lucky enough to be on the top floor on the corner so had some great views of the city.
The rooms are pretty basic, but clean, and the art is quite interesting! Breakfast was great - hot and cold and plenty to eat.
We would definately recommend and would not hesitate to go back if we were to go back to Brussels.

The idea behind this hotel is that local artists display and decorate each floor of the hotel in an unique fashion with their art being prominently displayed. This concept works very well until you actually get inside the room.
The hotel itself is an older Comfort Brand generic hotel that they have tried to 'jazz' up using art. Unfortunately they did not pay any attention to fixing up the ultra small rooms. Everything in the room itself seemed about 20 years old.
Rooms do not have internet access.
The best thing I liked about this hotel is the location. It is conveniently located next to the train station and business centers. It is a short taxi ride to some of the nicer plaza's for sightseeing.
Hotel is ok for one or two night stay over but be forewarned...it is not that comfortable.

I booked this hotel over the internet, after having read much good about it. The price per night was 188 euros plus tax (not mentioned on website or reservation confirmation)
I found a dinghy room, looking out over the main boulevard, a broken double glazed window allowed me to listen to roaring traffic all night. The barthroom was covered in places in broken, grimy tiles. There wasn't much of the boasted-of art either.
The receptionist at the desk in the morning did not understand either Dutch, or French or English. She did offer me antoher room, provided I take my luggage down for the day. As a result I missed breakfast (which I had to pay for nevertheless) because I still needed to be at work on time.
In the evening I had to move it all upstairs again. No help was offered. Only one, slow lift for dozens and dozens of hotel guests needing it. The two moves cost me almost two hours in all.
The second night was OK, but would still have been seriously overpriced at 188 euros.
Despite internet publicity, the hotel did NOT accept Maestro card. No reduction was offered for the sleepless night. Night staff was not authorized to issue receipt for payment.....!
In the morning, 45 minutes queue to obtain receipt. Missed breakfast again. Yet I had to pay for it.
Hotel manager, when written to, said his hotel denied there had been anything wrong.. I sent e-mail to hotelchain which claims not to understand either Dutch, or French or English. We are speaking of a Brussels!!! hotel.
This hotel is to be avoided at all cost.
