Our first impresssion of this hotel was poor. Parking at the entrance of the hotel to check in and unload the luggage entails being parked in a tram and bus lane which as you can imagine in a busy city is not the ideal place to be parked . Added to this no one from the hotel was available to assist with the luggage or to advise where we should be parked .Parking is available in a public car park about ten minutes walk away .
The hotel is ideally situated for the lake and the centre of the city.
The bedroom was very comfortable and furnished to a high standard. Breakfast and room service were both very good.
If you wish internet access be prepared to pay . We were advised that internet access was available in the room ,but during our stay ,it wasn't working.Similarly the leisure facilities were being upgraded during our stay and were therefore unavailable.

Excellent service--more like a five star hotel's service quality though it's just a four star. Beautiful rooms and lobby. Lovely breakfast area with live music by a harpist or pianist. Great neighborhood--5 minute walk to the main train station, and 10 minute walk to all of the shopping on Rue du Rhone and the old city just beyond that. 2 minute walk to the lake.

I've stayed ath Hotel Bristol for 3 nights from 24 - 27 May. It was a short visit to Geneve, but I've enjoyed every minute.
The best thing about The Bristol is the location, it's just 2minutes walk to the lake, 4 minutes to a wide selection of cafe's & restaurants, 1 minute away from the tourist buses. The Bus stop is just two steps away from the front door of the Hotel. The Train station is just 5 minutes away & can be easly reached.
I didn't eat at the hotel at all. The Room I've stayed in was a deluxe room, large & spacious & very very very clean. The Bathroom was a good size with all the amenities.
The staff were very helpful & friendly. The htel atmosphere was quiet & cozy.
The overall experince was excellent & I strongly recommend it & will stay in it again on my next visit to Geneve.

Although Hotel Bristol was on the 'other side' of the lake, it is in an excellent location, just over the bridge to the old town centre. The decor was traditional, with lots of brass, dark green and dark wood and the service was impeccable and the concierge and hotel staff were very helpful.
The train station is about 5 mins walk up a partly-pedestrianised street which was handy to get the train to the airport.
The rooms were large and spotlessly clean. Our first room had a lovely view out to the back over a pretty green courtyard which was very quiet. We were initially located next to the lift which meant we could hear it creaking up and down the lift shaft all night which was awful so if you are located by the lift, I'd recommend you change immediately! However the staff were helpful and changed us to another room as soon as we asked. The new room was situated to the front of the hotel on the main road, but there was no traffic noise and we had a slight view of the lake which was great!
The spa jacuzzi they had downstairs was a little outdated but very quiet - there was never anyone else using it which was good to relax our weary feet!
We didn't eat in the restaurant but the hotel bar was comfortable for a drink after dinner. They had a live pianist in the bar who was excellent but the room was quite small so he didn't really need to microphone he was using!!
I'd recommend Hotel Bristol for it's service and location. The decor wasn't to my taste however it was clean and the traditional feel was rather quaint.

Just returned from a weekend break staying at this Hotel. Location is perfect. We had a 4th floor room facing the road and could just about see the Lake and bridge. Soundproofing in room was excellent - no traffic noise at all and Geneva is busy at any time of the day/night. Room was average but the bathroom was small and off the bedroom with a sliding door. Staff were helpful in the Hotel. Breakfast was a disappointment for the price you pay in addition to the room charge. If all you require is a coffee and a croissant - Starbucks 2 mins away is cheaper. During breakfast a Harpist was playing which I did not enjoy at that time of the morning. Air conditioning did not work in the room. The Hotel is grand in a small way. The travel pass you are given when staying at the Hotel is an absolute bonus for travelling around Geneva.
