Bought on Hotwire for $64+tax. The hotel is old and very very worn out. Hotwire rates this a 3 start hotel. It is not. The first room they gave me was on the ground floor and the window would not stay shut - despite the make-shift bar welded in place to prevent the window from opening (room #141). Thank goodness the second room (#241) had a window that would open because the heater could not be turned down below the boiling point. The room overlooks a trailer park. All the doors in the hotel look like they have been chewed on by something. The carpets look like crap, nasty pealing wallpaper, popcorn cielings with stains, 20 year old bathroom fixtures. The rooms are worth $40 MAX.
This is NOT a 3 star hotel. It's one of those "you can sugar coat a turd" sort of places. I stayed at the Courtyard Marriot the night before and it was not much better. Anybody know how the Hampton Inn is in this fair city?
Pluses? = 20 oz soda from vending maching is only $1.25, front desk staff was more than nice when I changed rooms. The pool was unoccupied the entire evening.

Arrived to a very crowded parking lot and struggled to find somewhere to park @ 7.00pm.
Room was hard to find as it was a long way from the main reception area & we had to ask directions twice.
Room was a good size witha king sized bed & good choice of TV Chanels.
View was of the other rooms in the next block felt a little exposed.
Hotel has a restaurant on site which has an all u can eat prime rib special on a Saturday night which is very good value.
Service is excellent in the restaurant and has great river views.
Hotel had a lot of functions on so felt very crowded.
Pool area was crowded wth kids so not the ideal place to actually swim. Pool closes at 10.00 so at least the rooms facing the pool can get some sleep.
Breakfast is not included on a Saturday or Sunday but there is an excellent breakfast buffet in the restaurant.
Sundays are a lot quieter and has a completely differnt atmosphere.
Pool was empty but a little on the shallow side to do any 'proper' swimming.
Free continental breakfast is available in the restaurant or you can pay an extra $3.00 & have a hot breakfast which is very good value.
The location is on the edge of town and the area itself is not very pretty but is handy for the freeway but far enough away not to hear it.

We stayed at the BW one night because of the water park. We had little
kids with us this time who wanted the water slide option. We usually stay at the Stoney Creek Inn. The hotel is very nice. The person at the front desk didn't have much for personality but he wasn't rude either. He was effecient. The water park is small but ok. They are suppose to have adults only swimming from 7am-8:30am everyday but nobody pays attention to that and the hotel doesn't monitor it. The bed was awful. I hardly slept all night. It bowed in the middle. It was small (double) so 2 people were very tight in it. The other disappointment which may make it so we won't stay here again is the fact they have no microwave for our popcorn anywhere on sight. I inquired at the desk. They said they used to have one but it broke and was never replaced. Well thanks so much!!! So if your expectations
aren't real high I would stay there.

Just finished a one-night stay here, at what hotwire listed as a 3-star property. Perhaps 15 years ago this would've been true, but certainly not now. Among the many problems:
-Toilets flush inconsistently, with water raising to top of bowl before going down
-Entire waterpark area shut down!! They told me they were unable to get ahold of me to tell me, but with no phone messages and no e-mails attempted, I'm wondering if they were trying courier pigeons, smoke signals, pony express or mental telepathy!!
-Perhaps the itchiest low thread-count sheets I've slept on in 5 years. Sheets were of a quality I'd expect to find in a cheap South American or European hotel. They were clean, to be fair, but were very low thread-count.
-I was awakened at 6:20 by a man going from door-to-door yelling for his drinking buddies from the construction crew to "get the *#!* up! This went on for about 15 minutes, with no response by hotel management. It appears that through the week, road crews and construction companies use this hotel's cheap weekday rates for their personnel.
-Coffeemaker and mini-fridge are supposed to fit into one outlet. If coffeemaker is used, it has to be relocated to the bathroom.
-Carpets had apparently not been cleaned in quite some time. Hardened areas and a couple little sticky spots throughout.
If you're a mom and dad just wanting a cheap weekend with your little kids to play in the pool, then this place is adequate IF THE POOL IS OPEN!!!!! Otherwise, avoid at all costs. A hotel isn't worth even the cheapest rate if you can't get a comfortable night's sleep in it!

I stayed at this hotel one night while traveling on business and was pleasently suprised. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and updated. The outside deck area overlooking the river is very nice.
If this hotel has a negitive it is that the continential breakfast cost $3.00 per person. However, staying here is a pleasure. This is a great hotel for business or families and well worth the price.
