Good hotel for a few days stay

I have stayed in Torino about six weeks this year (2008) in a variety of hotels. You can go to my username and see the others if you like. I stayed in this hotel recently for about 4-5 days as the others were full (why is it getting so hard to get a room in Torino?)
There are two Jolly Hotels in Torino, this one and the Jolly Ligure. The Jolly Ligure in my opinion has a better location as it is right across from the station. I like to be in that area because it is very easy to walk out of the hotel and have easy access to many restaurants and bars.
Anyway this hotel is about a mile or so from the station, which can make for a nice walk if you are in the mood, or a 5 minute taxi ride if you are not. Taxis are easy to come by at this hotel and we never had to wait.
There is a small bar in the lobby with friendly staff who were happy to listen as I tortured my only 10 words of Italian.
The restaurant serves a good breakfast which is included in the room rate. The coffee is very good - they have "american" coffee constantly available, also if you ask the wait staff they will bring a European espresso-type coffee. Why do I make a point of mentioning the breakfast coffee? If you had stayed in the Majestic you would understand (go look at any review!)
There is wireless throughout the hotel for an additional fee. It can be bought on various plans, I used the 24 hrs-20E plan, which seems a lot to me, but unfortunately that rate is getting very common across Europe, so it's not unusual to this hotel.
The room was good with a good bed, firm but not too hard, Just Right, as Goldilocks said.
I would use it again happily. Cheers and thanks for reading.

Catching up on posting some reviews for older hotel stays. Stayed at this property whilst on business in January 2004.
Rooms were clean and bright albeit not very large in size. As I was in a single it was no problem but I would surely feel a bit cramped with two people in the room. Staff was accommodating and breakfast satisfactory. Although this is an acceptable property it is not necessarily worthy of its star rating.

Nous avons passé un week end dans cet hotel où les chambres sont magnifiques.
Le personnel est très accueillant et a pu nous renseigner sur toutes nos questions : bus, shopping, bons plan où se restaurer...
Restaurant très bon.

Although I chose a superior room I found it really ugly and depressing. I was told that superior rooms had been renovated, but mine seemed to be renovated in the sixsties. The room was also noisy as it faced the main street Corso Vittorio Emanuele. I would not reccomend to go there.
