Just returned from Italy with a 5 night stop at Jolly Hotel Siena. Well-situated within walled area. Room and bathroom very clean, quiet, with excellent amentities. Reception was polite and helpful. Breakfast very good, hot as well as cold food items. Used Cor Magis tour guide, Diego, who speaks excellent English and is very knowledgable. Found Trattoria Papei, located behind il Campo, that serves wonderful food and priced very reasonably. Avoid restaurant close to hotel il Biondi as they sat us in a sepearte room away from the locals ,. Their food is very good but they and then tried to pass off tap water as bottled water to charge !

The Jolly Hotel in Siena was right across from the bus terminal and a short walk to Il Campo. The room we were in had a noisy air conditioner which no one was able to shut off. So we were given a new room. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very nice with a wide variety of foods. Although there was supposed to be internet service in our room, it didn't work. We had to buy an internet access card and use the computer in the lobby. The staff was friendly, but not everyone had a strong command of the English language. I would probably stay here again if I came back to Siena.

We stayed in this hotel for a night in Siena while we were touring around Italy. They gave us a 5th floor room to the front of the hotel. The hotel is very clean, the staff were friendly but not over friendly.
The room was very comfortable, they gave a great selection of toiletries including a brush, comb, shoe polish etc! The room had a flat screen TV, safe, bathrobes etc. The water pressure was good in the shower. However it was a bit noisey early in the morning due to the bus station across the road. Also the pub across the road was noisey until the small hours of the morning. The curtains in the room very good, completely blocked out the light. in the morning the lift was broken, but someone came to bring us down in the service lift. There was a beautiful view from the bedroom window. The breakfast was a good continental breakfast although the breakfast room is mainly one long counter to eat at.
This hotel is fine for a short stay in beautiful Siena

After ready mixed reviews I wasnt sure about this one but I really liked it.
It was very clean and modern, it is a business hotel so it dosent have the charm of some of the other hotels but this wasnt a problem. Rooms were lovely and modern. Great air conditioning. Its really close to everything.
We picked up a car in Sienna and drove down to Perugia. The roads are a little hard to negotiate if your driving.
Breakfast was great.
The best thing this hotel offers are the tours. We took one that went to San Gimingano and to a winery. It was the best tour weve ever done. The winery portion was brilliant as you go to a local winemaker and sit atop the Tuscan hills as he takes you through his 'wine school'. The tour guide was also an outstanding individual. Well worth it even if your not usually a 'toury' type of person.
