Staying at the Jolly Hotel was well worth it. The price was low, the hotel well furnished and the restaurant downstairs was fabulous! The proximity to the train station was also great (it was just down the street). And when we checked in, the desk clerk gave us complimentary map of all the mosaic locations in the town, and even recommended a great walking tour. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.

Pour nos 3 jours (et 2 nuits) à Ravenne, nous avions choisi l’hôtel Jolly (c’était un beau week-end ensoleillé et chaud). Les chambres sont assez petites mais tout à fait acceptables, avec deux placards de chaque coté du lit pour mettre ses vêtements, une télé (avec option internet, bien que l’écran de télé ne soit pas l’idéal pour consulter ses emails) et un minibar. Nous avions une belle salle de bains avec un bidet et une baignoire-douche. Le seul problème, c’est que la paroi de verre censée protéger le reste de la salle de bains quand on prend sa douche était un peu trop petite, si bien que tout le sol était immanquablement inondé. Produits de toilette habituels – shampoing, lait de toilette, bonnet de bain etc. Excellente climatisation, il faisait agréablement frais dans la chambre. Le seul inconvénient, c’est que la première nuit tombait un vendredi et il y avait beaucoup de bruit et de remue-ménage venant de l’extérieur. Bien que les fenêtres de l’hôtel étaient très bien isolées (je n’ai quasiment jamais entendu le bruit de la circulation), celui de la batterie arrivait à passer quand même. Mais ça, ce n’était que le vendredi, le reste de la semaine tout s’est bien passé. Le petit déjeuner buffet était très bon – pain grillé, paninis, fromage, jambon, oeufs brouillés, bacon, petits pains et gâteaux, céréales, jus d’orange, café, thé, fruits, yaourts. Vraiment tout ce qu’il fallait. Le personnel était serviable, le dernier jour, nous avons pu laisser nos bagages en consigne pour visiter la ville les mains libres. Au point de vue emplacement, cet hôtel est parfait, on a tout sous la main (la gare est à 3 mn et la piazza centrale à 5 ou 10 mn). En conclusion, c’est un hôtel que je recommande et où je retournerai à l’occasion.

The Jolly Hotel was our choice to stay during a 2 night/3 day stay in Ravenna (lovely, hot, sunny weekend). The rooms are rather small but perfectly okay, with two cupboards on each side of the bed for clothes, a TV (with internet functions, though the TV screen isn't the best place for checking your e-mails) and a minibar. The bathroom was fine, with a bidet and a bath/shower. The only problem there was the glass that should protect the bathroom from flooding when taking a shower, it was a bit too narrow, so the floor inevitably got wet. There was the usual equipment, shampoo, body lotion, shower cap etc. The room had a great climatisation, it was very nice and cool. The only downside there was that the first night was on Friday and there was a lot of noise going on outside. While the hotel's windows are very well isolated against noise (I hardly ever heard road traffic), it had some problems getting rid of the bass of the music. But that was only on Friday, so the rest of the week it's fine. Breakfast buffet was very nice, including toast, panini, cheese, ham, scrambled eggs, bacon, sweet bread or cakes, cereal, orange juice, coffee, tea, fruit, joghurt. All you need, really. The staff were helpful, we could deposit our bags in a safe room on the last day while exploring the town. The location is perfect, everything is in walking distance (3 minutes from station, about 5-10 minutes from the central piazza). All in all I recommend the hotel and I'd go again.
