We went for a wedding and stayed two nights at the hotel. It was a well run establishment. What you would expect for what you pay for. The room was large and comfortable. They spoke English and were helpful. The breakfast was also very good. I would definately recommend this hotel.

I don't know whether it was because throughout Italy we had stayed in hostels and tents, but this place was like heaven to us! The rooms were basic but to us luxury! The staff was super friendly and pointed us in the right directions! I would definetely stay here again for my stay was nothing but pleasant. The location was decent, located about 3 minutes away from the train station & being tourists, the cab driver charged us 12E for literally, a 1 minute ride. But, we had no idea where we were going and so paid for convenience. Just something to think about!

Location The Jolly Hotel is next to the river flowing out of Lake Como and is a couple of hundred yards from the lake front itself. It is walking distance to the main shopping area. There is reduced rate parking at garage car park a hundred yards away (about 12 euros a day). The hotel is well located for visiting Lecco and Lake Como in general. We spent our day taking the boat up to Bellagio which was a great way to get there and certainly worth the visit. Lecco is also a main rail station making trips up the lake, across to Como, to Milan and beyond all possible. Staff In our two nights here the staff were always friendly and helpful. Room The room was clean, was a very good size and had air conditioning. We had upgraded to a Superior room (about £15 per night from memory) and this gave us a sitting area at the end of the room, slightly larger bathroom, a terrace and a view over the river. Having stopped here last year I can also confirm that even the standard rooms are very nicely appointed, are a good size and with quite decent sized bathrooms. The hotel itself is very nicely appointed overall. Food Breakfast is very good and included in the rate normally. We have also eaten in the restaurant a couple of times and the quality is reasonable and is quite good value at 22 euro for two courses and coffee. Cost At £85 I thought this was a good value hotel given its location and quality. Use Again? This is the second year we have stopped at the hotel and I would certainly use it again. As a base for Lake Como, Lecco is not as pretty as many other places but has lots of normal shops charging normal prices and is far less touristy than most of the rest of the lake. The hotel has one of the best location in Lecco,a marvellous small town on the bord of the ComoSee. Rooms are spacious,take the lake side which face the tranquil small square.Pedestrian zone is ca.150 mtr from the back of the hotel.Park your car in the Parkhouse nearby at the corner,or in front of the hotel.The hotelm restaurant is outstanding,esp the choices of wines,the ChefCook is very reative.You will feel as if youre a King in this hotel.

Our room was fine but found the experience very ordinary considering the price. The internet (in the foyer) was charged at an astronomical amount (10E for 1 hr).
