Used to have good memories of this hotel, but apparently things are getting worse. Staff is quite unfriendly, as noted by other travellers. Rooms are tiny, especially if you request an extra bed for a child, but still quite expensive for Genoan standards. Be aware of the strange rate policy of the garage: you pay 20 euros if you leave the car overnight, which is a reasonable price, but you get charged by the hour if you move the vehicle during the day. On the other hand, the Jolly Hotel (now property of NH Hotels, I understand) is conveniently located, a few steps from the historic centre and the aquarium.

Overall I enjoyed my stay there and most of the reviews are quite accurate. A few additional details are that, the parking is very convenient but it's 20E a night, which is similar to what you'll find elsewhere in Genova. The internet connection is expensive (25E a day), and when I was checking out the connection failed and there were several angry clients complaining. I didn't have a problem with my connection the previous day but they were not happy and the staff didn't seem too helpful. The rooms are clean and the breakfast was very nice. This is a good location since it's within walking distance of the historical center, and its easy to drive there from the highways.

We've stayed at this hotel 3 nights and were overall satisified with the quality. The hotel is well placed in the marina close by the spledid Genua aquarium and a short walk from the convention center in the refurbished old harbour. The old city is a longer 10 mins walk away with its good restaurants and pleasant ambiance. The rooms are clean and cheerful, but not large. You will get a view to the marina with its many yachts moored. The breakfast was so-so as it could have fresher foccaccia which is Genova speciality. Also no prosciutto but standard "English" breakfast with eggs and such.

Hôtel très bien situé dans le vieux port de Gennes, très beau Lobby, Le restaurant est agréablement situé avec une terrase et une très belle vue sur le port, mais après 22h le service est réduit. La chambre est magnifique grande , Grand lit confortable, beau design, bel aménagement et équipement, grande salle de bain avec une fenêtre. ventilation ou climatisation un peu bruyante. petit déjeuner très bien. Personnel peu empressé, check out un peu long , une seule personne le matin au comptoir !

One night business stop, so only a brief experience, but overall pretty impressed. Lobby areas look really good at night (dark wood and discrete lights) and late night staff ok, if not overly welcoming. No n/s doubles and they were going to put me in a smoker, but refused and I ended up in a 2F twin - which was fine with great view over the marina from balcony. No bathroom issues (shower in the bath) - and room/b'room size ok; pre-packed plastic cups for tea/coffee hygenic, but a bit lacking in quality. B'fast fine and good to be able to sit looking out over the boats, but no outside area that I could see. Agree with earlier reviewer on car park - very tight, especially on the first level (most spaces full) - so headed to level 2, where it was much easier, but you don't really want a large car in there ... Stayed at the hotel because of convenience for meetings, but would go back with family if I wanted to spend time in Genoa.
